Obama drinking foreign beer on the whitehouse lawn? He couldn't find an american brand??? Is Obama always drunk?

/me hides

The only issue I have with this event is the President's selection of beer... it is the very image of how Monte Python described American Beer. :python: :roflmao:

At least the other two participants had brews that are drinkable. :pint:

They did?

Looks to me like they were all drinking 'Bud-shight' - horrible stuff.

-EDIT-

As for American "beer", Brooklyn Lager is quite nice and I found a place 15 minutes walk from my house that sells it, albeit at a silly price.

That's about it from my experience.

If lager is your thing, best stick to Czech, Belgian or German. For real beer (not lager) McEwan's 80% from Scotland is a personal favourite. (Avoid Caledonian 80% though - room temperature and not creamy enough)

Egads Red. One would think the press has better things to do. Perhaps write an article about the large job loss out of the US and to foreign lands during the last 30 years instead of 'foreign' beer.

Of course, you are correct. By and large the liberal press are protecting their man, the press is reporting everything is peachy.

yeah, the way the press was 'protecting' bush by not questioning the WMD bullshit
why he was SOOOOOOO anxious to invade iraq

and so on and so on.....

the press is mostly moronic

yeah, Bud has been crap for years

eewww, yuk!

Belgian Beers are the best for me, but there are some really nice American "hand made" beers like Sam Adams and Brooklyn. All inspired by Belgian Beers, of course.

Actually I am not a huge fan of domestic beers, with the exception of Samuel Adams. I'll drink them due to price, but I much prefer imports. I am just joking that if Obama is going to do a publicity stunt, he should go whole hog and play the patriotism card.

Jupiler and Grolsch are quite equal, bit sweet. I like them, but personally I prefer Brand, Hertog Jan or Gulpener.
Considering special beers, German weizen, and Dutch wheat beers "Korenwolf" and "Venloosch Wit" are heavenly.

I mean:

Next year I'm going to the US, so I'll give it a try.

Nice try C but no go. He didn't mind the press corps taking pictures of the great "beer summit". It was a publicity stunt.

Well it worked, the issue all went away and mostly because of the beer he chose to serve. Gotta admit, that's down right brilliant!
