    Putting money into investments to make money is a game that only people with spare money get to play - which is why the rich don't have to work for their enormous incomes.

    But I think that reinvesting dividends in more stock in a growing company is perhaps just not exciting enough - plus, by the time everyone gets to hear about the opportunity it's often the wrong time to get in - returns are shrinking, company isn't growing as fast - and stock might not be worth anything when you want to cash out.
