Watching the RNC

CNN Confirms the event. If you're interested you're in Florida you could go and check arrest records.
"RNC Attendee Tossed for Allegedly Throwing Peanuts at Black CNN Camerawoman"

very strange couple days now and no more info???
no names, no video running 24/7 on CNN, no youtube video of incident
very very strange that a Camerawoman being assaulted by peanut throwers didn't record the event

"attendee" could be anyone, including “act up” type infiltrators
I think it was Chris Mathews and Ed Schultz, they are both an "attendee' and have been drinking heavily

@Metalman,
I understand your paranoia. Afterall the Republicans have a well estatablished record for recording and infiltrating the opposite party (cough Nixon cough). I argue if the DNC can figure out how to do it for the cost of peanuts it's very clear who the worst spenders are in the government. ;)

The Secret Service is in charge of convention security, and is part of the Department of Homeland Security headed by Janet Napolitano

So I would have to agree with you, Obama has made very poor spending choices :thumbs up:

Paul Ryan’s speech in 3 words

2. Deceiving

On the other hand, to anyone paying the slightest bit of attention to facts, Ryan’s speech was an apparent attempt to set the world record for the greatest number of blatant lies and misrepresentations slipped into a single political speech. On this measure, while it was Romney who ran the Olympics, Ryan earned the gold.

The good news is that the Romney-Ryan campaign has likely created dozens of new jobs among the legions of additional fact checkers that media outlets are rushing to hire to sift through the mountain of cow dung that flowed from Ryan’s mouth. Said fact checkers have already condemned certain arguments that Ryan still irresponsibly repeated.

Ryan Helped Derail Simpson-Bowles Plan Romney Now Sees as Model
Representative Paul Ryan was a pivotal figure in killing the 2010 Bowles-Simpson agreement, which Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney now holds out as a model for putting America’s fiscal house in order.

6 Worst Lies In Paul Ryan’s Speech

2. “More debt than any other president before him, and more than all the troubled governments of Europe combined.” Romney has made the almost identical claim, that Obama has amassed more debt “as almost all of the other presidents combined.” But their math doesn’t add up: when Obama took office, the national debt was $10.626 trillion. It has increased to slightly above $15 trillion.
5. “$716 billion, funneled out of Medicare by President Obama.” Ryan’s favorite lie is a deliberate distortion of Obamacare’s savings from eliminating inefficiencies. Furthermore, Ryan’s own plan for Medicare includes these savings. Romney has vowed to restore these cuts, which would render the trust fund insolvent 8 years ahead of schedule.
6. “The greatest of all responsibilities is that of the strong to protect the weak.” Ryan closed the speech with an invocation of social responsibility, saying, “The truest measure of any society is how it treats those who cannot defend or care for themselves.” However, numerous clergy members have condemned Ryan’s budget plan as “cruel,” and “an immoral disaster” because of its devastating cuts in social programs the poor and sick rely on. Meanwhile, Ryan would give ultra-rich individuals and corporations $3 trillion in tax breaks.

Bain’s secret bailout

Black camerawoman ‘not surprised’ by peanut pelting at the RNC
For her part, Carroll, who is a 34-year-old Alabama native, says this kind of behavior is often spurred by a lack of diversity.

The GOP is making a serious grab for the idiot vote - though evidence indicates that is not a new strategy.

Funny how people forget "Yes We Can".

I think the Party of the Donkey has the corner of the market on idiots all locked up.

@cecilia

Got time to watch the Paul Ryan. Wow even Fox has enough sense to call him out on that crap. My favorite is how he's a Christian that loves Ayn Rand. Clearly, Mitt and Paul are clearly non-True Christians, as defined by Metalman.

You can't let go the badge, eh?

Though I'd better add, the Bob the builder catch phase and the "HOPE"(TM) were pretty bland and meaningless Mad Ave speak and people that bought into it should be ashamed of themselves it really has been a cake walk for the Dems considering the dangerous idiots they've been up against. This is partly due to Dem success at capturing the middle leaving the Reps to scrounge for voters in the loony fringes. Of course, that was largely dumb luck for the Dems ever since the "Moral Majority" got their tendrils into the GOP and dragged it out onto a limb. The GOP needs to die and stay dead - then there will only be one enemy party and when a new one rises you can pick good over evil rather than voting for the lesser of two evils.

This is a very important news segment. It mentions the diverted busload of delegates I mentioned the other day though that link was posted under embedded video so I don't know if many people noticed it. It also talks about the voice vote on the rule change for rule 16 which would tighten up the party bosses control over who can get delegates. This was a contentious vote and though those against may well have lost in a straight up and down vote, it turns out they didn't have a chance anyway - you think Obama abuses the teleprompter? Fair enough, but he doesn't RULE by the teleprompter. Watch the video in the link above.

Mitt gets his own planet when he dies. So therefore why care about this one!
