"Health Care Reform" Has Passed The House

So you changed positions now and are happy about the bill passing? Or am I reading too much into your statement?
The bill indeed has many problems. The biggest of which is it doesn't fix the main problem. That problem is insurance companies which move money and paper but produce 0 benefit to the healthcare of any person. The bill also fixes many minor ones.

If anything it changes the debate for decades. I'm not overly excited but we'll see where this roller coaster heads.

November will be an interesting month for the 219 who voted yes.
And for those that voted no. I can see Dems who failed to vote yes, we have 1 from MN, being voted out!

Agreed. November will be an interesting month for all the participants. From my viewpoint, I'm quite pleased with (all of) my state's representatives who voted no. I also applaud those other Dems who voted no. It took a lot of courage to defy Pelosi's otherwise effective strong arm tactics (unless of course the 34 in question were allowed to vote no by Pelosi). This is an ugly bill that we may well be stuck with (presuming the state's pending lawsuits don't work). Let's see if the Dem's can successfully spin their way out of this one...

Maybe so but I doubt it. There is too much negative response to what has happened to simply dismiss the Republican stance as the Slate appears to be doing. What will be more telling is how the Dems (and Obama in particular) try to sell this to the public now that they have backed themselves into a corner. But I do agree on one thing, Americans are in one corner or the other with regards to this issue. So much for Obama the "uniter". Rahm that bill through...

It sets a dangerous precedent that such a sweeping bit of legislation can be passed through blackmail, bribery, witholding of water from farms that produce food until votes are changed etc. We don't have a president, we have a tyrant.

Oops... looks like one of ObamaCare's highly touted promises isn't quite as complete (for now) as promised:

Child Coverage Has Apparent Gap.

I realize that HHS can likely issue new rulings / regulations and quickly fix this but I thought this thing was supposed to be complete?

For those who are curious, here is the supposed timeline of what kicks in and when.

And Republican Mitt Romney likes it.

Guess whose out of the 2012 race.

2012? There is still plenty of time left for him to go to a religious rehabilitation clinic and be cured of 'socialist tendencies' so all can be forgiven before the next election is near.
