The implosion of CNN (Clinton News Network)

CNN APPLEBEE’S SPOT ‘GREATEST COMMERCIAL BREAK EVER’

Russia has launched a massive attack on Ukraine, but hey, how about a little fried chicken? Or maybe a couple of brewskis?

After all, nothing says a potential World War III quite like Applebee’s.

As OutKick founder Clay Travis pointed out, CNN interrupted its coverage of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine with an ad from Applebee’s. The flailing network didn’t break away from its coverage, mind you. It merely used a split screen. Applebee’s received the larger of those two screens.

one of the few real journalists who worked at fox:

.....Chris Wallace explained that he felt he had to leave his former employer because he felt the network had gone off the rails following the election of Donald Trump and grew worse after the 2020 election.

it will be interesting to see how he feels about working at CNN

one of the few real journalists who worked at fox:

That's the core of the real problem. He -- like all the rest of them -- is a "journalist" first instead of a reporter, which to me means that he believes -- like they all do -- that their own opinion and viewpoint matters more than the news they report. America doesn't have any real reporters any more, or any real news channels. Every single one of them is awash in "news entertainment" and has foresaken presenting the real news in favor of their chosen "side" or narrative...

It's really kinda sad if not disgusting...

Plus the "I hate him because he's on *that* team", which immediately becomes "love this guy, only one there with a spine" when they jump ship to the other "side".

THE MOST BUSTED NAME IN NEWS: CNN in Ratings Free-fall, Zucker Did 'Permanent Damage,' Ex-Producer Says

“A longtime media industry executive who previously worked as a producer for CNN told Fox News Digital that damage Zucker did to the brand is ‘deep and permanent’ after the former executive pushed the once-non-partisan network to the left,” Fox News reports.

“It’s a sorry state of affairs that when CNN should be shining for its Ukraine coverage, it instead is mired in the embarrassing launch of a suboptimal product like CNN+. Ratings are terrible despite the once-in-a-decade war news that CNN is supposedly made for. We’re now seeing the deep and permanent damage Jeff Zucker did to the once storied CNN brand when he pulled it far left and made it about himself vs Trump,” the media insider said. “Viewers don’t turn to CNN for serious news anymore.”

FEWER THAN 10,000 PEOPLE WATCH CNN+

CNN’s new streaming service CNN+ — which focuses on Brian Stelter, Jemele Hill, Don Lemon, Rex Chapman and Chris Wallace — is in jeopardy, just two weeks after it launched.

Fewer than 10,000 people are using CNN+ on a daily basis, people familiar with the matter tell CNBC. CNN+ has already cost CNN $300 million and, as a result, staffers are bracing for layoffs.

Under former boss Jeff Zucker, WarnerMedia viewed CNN+ as the key ingredient toward its future. Zucker planned to invest around $1 billion in the service over the next four years. With Zucker out and Chris Licht taking over on May 1, CNN will likely quash these plans.

Axios added on Tuesday that “investment and projections for CNN+ are expected to be cut dramatically in response to a low adoption rate.

“Hiring has been frozen at WarnerMedia for the past six weeks, and this has been felt at CNN,” the report adds. “One top executive notes that there is a sense of confusion internally as to why CNN didn’t push back the launch of CNN+ until after the Discovery merger.”

In addition to CNN+ struggles, the “talents” on the service undermine Licht’s plans to re-establish CNN’s reputation as a credible news agency. Insiders expect Licht to double down on reporters like Clarissa Ward and pivot away from woke opinionists like Lemon.

As a standalone service, CNN+ has virtually no promise. The most likely outcome is that Discovery folds CNN+ into HBO Max along with Discovery+ — the two other services Discovery will control after it merges with WarnerMedia. Both HBO Max and Discovery+ have millions of subscribers, CNBC adds.

If CNN scales back its focus on streaming, Chris Wallace’s future at the company may change considerably. Zucker hired Wallace to be the face of the service. And because CNN is paying Wallace TV money to host a daily streaming show, perhaps Licht will look to move Wallace to its linear lineup in the next year. New management plans to make changes to the TV lineup anyway.

Netflix reshaped the media industry. Every broadcast and tech company is now trying to compete with Netflix. This strategy makes sense for companies that have the library to monetize subscribers, but CNN doesn’t.

CNN is not Disney. Hardly anyone watches CNN on linear television for free. So why would they pay extra for CNN+?

You tell us.

Source says that Chris Wallace is ‘having daily breakdowns’ over the ‘miserable’ CNN+ launch

There were reports this February that Wallace was “irate” with the situation at CNN, what with Jeff Zucker resigning in scandal. “Wallace feels he has been stiffed,” said a source. “He’s got no staff, no executive producer, and the guy he gave up a prized gig for has just walked out the door.” What Wallace did have, though, was a show on CNN+, but as CNBC just reported, CNN+ is drawing fewer than 10,000 daily viewers. CNN really fell apart just as Wallace decided to jump ship.

Warner Bros. Discovery to Cancel CNN+ Just 23 Days After Launch Announcement

Warner Bros. Discovery will reportedly shut down CNN+ 23 days after announcing the streaming service.

Warner Bros. Discovery will nix the streaming service on April 30 just after CNN after having fewer than 10,000 daily views, according to reports. The move comes after CNN was acquired by the parent company, Variety reported:

Spokespersons for CNN and Warner Bros. Discovery could not be reached for immediate comment. The decision puts an end to a venture that people familiar with the matter say rankled David Zaslav, the new CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, from the start. Zaslav was annoyed by the decison of Jason Kilar, the former CEO of WarnerMedia when it was owned by AT&T, to launch CNN+ just weeks before Discovery was set to take over operations.
Chris Licht, the incoming CEO of CNN, sent a memo to staffers Thursday morning about “an important meeting” to be held at noon, and is at that time expected to inform employees about the decision, these people said. Licht has already told Andrew Morse, the CNN executive vice president who oversees the newly-launched streaming-video outlet, of the decision, these people said. Morse could not be reached for immediate comment.
CNN+ had been stricken with reports that many employees would be laid off in the coming weeks.

On March 29, CNN introduced CNN+, which “combines live news coverage, on-demand programming and interactive interviews.” CNN claimed CNN+ would “establish closer relationships with news consumers,” the network said upon its launch.

CNN+ boasted on-air personalities like former Fox News host Chris Wallace and CNN mainstays Jake Tapper, Don Lemon, and Anderson Cooper. In the last few days, White House press secretary was interviewed by Wallace in a likely effort to boost ratings.

Former President of CNN, Jeff Zucker, had developed CNN+ to rival Fox News’s streaming service. But after his sudden exit amid scandal that engulfed anchor Chris Cuomo, Zucker was unable to follow through on the series of high-profile hires.

The dems new favorite RINO Chris Wallace didn't even budge the needle an inch. Good riddance to bad rubbish!

Your lefty friends will now claim to have never really liked CNN anyhow. They will never openly admit that they fell for decades of deception, propaganda and all sorts of fabricated outright Fake News.

BRIAN STELTER ENDS HIS CNN+ CAREER GROSSLY MISINFORMING HIS 'AUDIENCE' ABOUT THE LIBS OF TIKTOK CONTROVERSY

Brian Stelter was one of the top stars on CNN+. The streaming network ends on April 30, leaving Stelter only his little-watched show on normal CNN. To give an example of what a horrible idea CNN+ was, imagine expecting people to pay for content like Stelter's segment on the Libs of TikTok drama.

We've covered the story in detail. All of you reading this know the details. We can all point and laugh at this pathetic genderless potato head while pointing out how he is misinforming his audience. Like claiming Libs of TikTok takes videos out of context. She literally presents the videos in full context. "Here is a liberal and here are the unedited words coming out of a liberal's mouth that the liberal chose to post on social media."

He's got LoTT on the cherry-picking. With the wealth of liberals beclowning themselves on the internet, she has to cherry-pick the best ones.

Here the genderless potato head is lying about the "don't say gay" bill. The lies have been covered ad nauseum, but most notable is that the bill STILL DOESN'T say gay. He also attempts to make it a gay thing, ignoring all the non-gay, non-teacher, results-of-liberal-policies videos LoTT posts on the regular.

Brian Stelter, in a CNN studio, presenting misinformation from a partisan standpoint. You can turn on CNN at any point during the day and see the network doing the exact same thing. This is why people didn't waste money paying for CNN+.

What's not mentioned is Mr Potatohead (Brian Stelter) admits that what these lib teachers are saying is something he wouldn't want teachers saying to HIS kids. DING DING DING. But of course he is obfuscating the whole subject, so this is a pathetic attempt to try to appear balanced.

‘I’ve Been A Victim’: Chris Wallace Says He’s ‘In Good Shape’ Despite CNN+ Implosion

Former “Fox News Sunday” anchor Chris Wallace said on Sunday that while he is still reeling from the rapid demise of fledgling streaming service CNN+, he is confident that he’s “in good shape” moving forward.

Wallace abruptly left FOX in December before announcing his move to CNN for a new interview-based show — “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?” — and according to a report from Mediaite, he told former CBS News reporter Jacqueline Adams that he had been a “victim” of the current situation.

Appearing at a Common Ground Committee live-streamed event titled “Media, Politics, and Polarization,” Wallace addressed questions about the recently-announced end of the cable news giant’s brand new streaming service — and his future, whether it be with CNN or not.

“Are there already enough choices for news sources out there and are the days of streaming already over?” Adams asked, prompting Wallace to shoot back with, “Wow, that was quick.”

“It’s an interesting thing and I’ve been a victim of all of this in the last week,” Wallace continued, going on to note what many of his colleagues have over the past week — that the timing and the Warner Bros. Discovery merger with CNN — rather than any problems with content or lower-than-expected subscription numbers — was the main driver behind the termination of CNN+.

Pull the plug NOW! CNN+ somehow managed to be an even BIGGER failure

What gave WarnerMedia executives the notion that a CNN subscription service was a good idea? For starters, Axios reported that internal research showed executives that CNN+ could attract up to 30 million paid subscribers all around the world. Well, you know how that went. A week ago it was announced that CNN+ would be shut down and that the last day of programming would be April 30.

As it turns out, CNN+ didn’t even make it that far:

Newsmax Beats CNN in Prime-Time Rating

Newsmax made history Friday night, beating competitor CNN in key prime-time ratings.

According to Nielsen – and first reported by Mediaite – Newsmax's live coverage of former President Trump's Pennsylvania rally pushed the network ahead of CNN in audience viewership.

Newsmax pulled 738,000 total viewers between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. ET, with an evening prime-time average of 579,000 viewers.

Laggard CNN peaked at 645,000 viewers during Anderson Cooper's show, drawing an average audience of just 545,000 on Friday night.

The Nielsen numbers do not tell the full story. Newsmax is carried in 20 million less homes than CNN, giving it proportionately a much higher rating than its competitor.

The Nielsen numbers do not include Newsmax's massive OTT streaming audience, which the network estimates often almost doubles the Nielsen rating during Trump rally coverage and other programming.

For the past year, Newsmax has consistently held the position as the fourth-highest-rated cable news channel in the U.S. and a top-20 cable channel in daytime, according to Nielsen.

Newsmax used to be fringe, usually truthful but fringe in audience. They are certainly more fact based and a better watch than Fox these days. Make no mistake though the story here is CNN (Clinton News Network) utterly imploding upon itself. NO ONE willingly watches CNN. The only TVs tuned to it are ones in the corners of airports or stores that sell TVs.

Donnie Jr makes a joke during some pretty sharp commentary, and Stelter only touches on the joke, pretending to not be angered by it while clearly angered by it.

BRIAN STELTER'S VERY UPSET, CLAPS BACK AT CRITIC CALLING HIM A 'GENDERLESS POTATO'

If anyone wants to complain about personal attacks or mockery, Stelter is the one of the worst actors out there in fake news and CNN routinely deals in personal attacks. Personal attacks based on pure lies. Some light mockery thrown back I will not cry about.

Embattled CNN Anchor Brian Stelter Caught Red-Handed Sanitizing Coverage Of His Imminent Ouster

Embattled Brian Stelter — the scandal plagued Chief Media Correspondent at CNN — used his own newsletter on Tuesday night to bury news that he is on the nose to the cable giant’s new boss, Chris Licht.

As Radar previously reported, CNN’s new boss placed anchors Brian Stelter, Jim Acosta and Don Lemon on notice and warned the trio that they would be fired unless they adapt to the network’s new mandate to be less partisan.

But in his Reliable Sources nightly newsletter, Stelter committed a journalism no-no and buried the lead.

While Stelter chose to cover himself becoming news, he sanitized the story to a pithy one-line that linked to an Axios report, the outlet which was first to break the explosive story: “Sara Fischer reports that new CNN boss Chris Licht is evaluating network talent.”

It also ranked as the 25th biggest news story of the day despite its significance and prominence on various media outlets.

“Here comes a story that CNN is evaluating if staffers including Brian can adjust to a less partisan approach and he swallows their bait,” a source connected to CNN told RadarOnline.com.

“People at CNN expected that he would not put his name to the nightly newsletter, ironically called Reliable Sources. If he had an ethical bone in his body, he would have removed his name from the column and allowed his mini-me, Oliver Darcy, to publish the newsletter and address the issue.

“But there is no getting in the way of Brian’s ego. He was set up and he fell for it. His days are numbered.”

Another CNN insider told RadarOnline.com: “Where’s CNN’s standards and practices department?”

“Brian is a bumbling mess and this latest gaffe truly exposes him for what he is: a charlatan,” said the source.

“Here is a media correspondent who lectures everyone about ethics from his self-created soapbox who failed to excuse himself when he should have.”

The Reliable Sources newsletter boasts online it is “brought to you by Brian Stelter” and “examines how journalists do their jobs and how the media affect the stories they cover.”

Stelter has come under repeated criticism for being a liberal lapdog, a cheerleader for the Biden regime and ignoring legitimate media issues on his so-called "media show" in 2021.

He turned a blind eye to controversies impacting MSNBC, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and even his own network.
While the world looked on in shame of CNN chief legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin being caught on camera masturbating, Stelter made no mention of Toobin's splashy return on his ratings-challenged Sunday morning show.

The sins led FOX News anchor Sean Hannity to call Stelter a “dishonest hack.”

But his biggest scandal was targeting RadarOnline.com with a smear attack just before this website exposed Jeff Zucker, his hypocritical former boss, for having an undisclosed affair with fellow CNN executive Allison Gollust.
