i never reward fellers for doin ignorant shit... but i love my brother... he suffered in silence for so long im willing to forgive his transgression... he has modified his own behaviour (yeah we're still french) anyway... i wanted him to know i love him; so i thought id do something nice... since we both have been comic collectors since christ wore diapers (step dad still has a tarzan no 1, he ruined us mommy!!!:D )... i thought id try and cheer him up... got him a nice little star trek next generation toy (arguably in as poor of a condition as him)

yep... he's a purebred...;) ... and somebody mistreated him so bad he came to me'(my dads cousin runs the humane society surprise, surprise...) judge gave the guy six months and told him in open court if he ever owned so much as a goldfish he'd do five years... i love my wendy boy....

so my daughter in law has been mad at me because my son has always bragged that im the best cook he knows...:). before he left for his duty in hawaii (yeah i know he's really roughing it there), she asked me to show her how to make bread and stuff. they were here for a month so she got the best lessons ever and much hands on practice... i have a jenn air convection oven so its actually made for goodies and treat,s in half the time... has a grill and rotisserie on it too... plus two gas burners.... at any rate... she learned... and last week she tried and did...!!!!

this is one of the coolest things ever... teaching someone to feed themselves, and be self reliant... she's been binging too...:D... been doing two or three of the different loaves a night...

i recommend all three books... and no... i dont get anything for that... i bought like 12 sets of them at christmas and gave them to my kids and some other family... best money ever spent and it will change the way you eat for the better... i am so proud of you amanda!!!

Nah, Nikkor AF-D 50mm f/1.8, no way you'd a shot like this indoors with the Holga. I was sitting at my desk and little Harey beckoned to jump on my lap, so I let him, he kinda curled up so I grabbed my camera and started taking pics, this was my favourite of the bunch. Bar a resize and little bit of sharpening, there's no photoshop wizardry there, all in camera, light was provided by a shaded window behind me.
 
so were you just wandering aimlessly looking lost and harvey saved you? just curious... every cat i ever let in the house felt like they were doing me a favor...:lol:

i realize it isn't a "quality" photo... just wanted you all to see "indoor mantis". he is two months old now, give or take. he came riding into the house on some vegetables from the garden and hasnt left, or been mauled by kittens for that matter either. ive been hand feeding him/her/it flies and also set a bowl of water in there. he was right at an inch and green when i first put him in there. he is three and a half inches long now. supposedly they can live up to 14 months in captivity (or until the kittens notice him). they can also get up to 12 inches in length, which, might make him an outdoor mantis if he gets too creepy. you can kind of make out the fly in his arms. he started out with about two a week. he eats two every two days now.
