It isn't a conspiracy theory when it is in their own words.

How can anyone nod along with eyes glazed over? Please tell me this was slickly edited like a Michael Moore film and Bill Gates really didn't say this?

What he says in relation to population is that the growth could be reduced 10-15% if "we do a really great job on new vaccines, healthcare and reproductive healthcare". This is based on the undeniable observation that wealthier, healthier populations tend to have fewer children.

The crux of his argument is that there are four factors, the first 2 (population and services) are just going to increase regardless. The energy required to deliver them and the ways in which the energy is produced are the factors that he is talking about reducing in a major way.

I am watching the long video, thanks for the link. I certainly don't hear Bill Gates make the connection you are making yet. He clearly states that population needs to be near zero and the crowd laughs.

To reach zero global CO2 emissions by 2050, you must kill every man, woman, child and animal on the planet.
 
Oh god, Bill Gates is promoting Al Gore's book on Global Warming. This video does not debunk the short one at all.

Red, I'm sorry, but did you even listen to what he said? He absolutely does not say that the human population needs to be reduced to zero. There's a joke implication from his simplistic observation that one of the factors in the equation has to get pretty close to zero if the entire result is going to be zero. Sure, we could wipe everybody out, but that's not his suggestion.

In fact, he actually claims the population going to increase by a factor of about 1.3. His assertion was that we could bring that increase down by 10-15% through the means mentioned. He concedes that both the population and the services they consume are going to rise by 2050. To bring the overall equation down to zero, you have to bring down the energy consumed by providing those services for those people and secondly the carbon produced in generating that energy. The E and C factors in the equation, not the P and S.

Windows for Mobile Devices does indeed appear to be terrible, but I don't think even it can cause that kind of population decimatiion.

The enormity of government-funded sterilization has been compiledby a masters' student in history, Sally Torpy, at the University ofNebraska at Omaha. Her thesis, "Endangered Species: Native American Women's Struggle for Their Reproductive Rights and Racial Identity,1970s-1990s," which was defended during the summer of 1998, places the sterilization campaign in the context of the "eugenics" movement.

No one even today knows exactly how many Native American women were sterilized during the 1970s. One base for calculation is provided bythe General Accounting Office, whose study covered only four of twelve IHS regions over four years (1973 through 1976). Within those limits, 3,406Indian women were sterilized, according to the GAO.

Another estimate was provided by Lehman Brightman, who is Lakota, and who devoted much of his life to the issue, suffering a libel suit bydoctors in the process. His educated guess (without exact calculations toback it up) is that 40 per cent of Native women and 10 per cent of Nativemen were sterilized during the decade. Brightman estimates that the total number of Indian women sterilized during the decade was between 60,000 and70,000.

Contacted by Scahill, the Monsanto executive Kevin Wilson declined to comment, but later confirmed to The Nation that they had hired Total Intelligence in 2008 and 2009, according to Monsanto only to keep track of "public disclosure" of its opponents. He also said that Total Intelligence was a "totally separate entity from Blackwater."

No wonder that a company engaged in the "science of death" as Monsanto, which has been dedicated from the outset to produce toxic poisons spilling from Agent Orange to PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls), pesticides, hormones and genetically modified seeds, is associated with another company of thugs.

Almost simultaneously with the publication of this article in The Nation, the Via Campesina reported the purchase of 500,000 shares of Monsanto, for more than $23 million by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which with this action completed the outing of the mask of "philanthropy." Another association that is not surprising.

It is a marriage between the two most brutal monopolies in the history of industrialism: Bill Gates controls more than 90 percent of the market share of proprietary computing and Monsanto about 90 percent of the global transgenic seed market and most global commercial seed. There does not exist in any other industrial sector monopolies so vast, whose very existence is a negation of the vaunted principle of "market competition" of capitalism. Both Gates and Monsanto are very aggressive in defending their ill-gotten monopolies.

The word vaccine, like abortion is one of Reds berserker buttons. No sense discussing it beyond the point of either of those two words being mentioned.
 
Vaccines preventative is negative in some ways. In most of the modern world we've eradicated the debilitating childhood diseases. It's easy to think if your kid is unlikely to get sick it's ok to skip the vaccine.

You talk of honest discussion, that'd require you to be an honest actor. When your berserker button is hit, you cease to be so.
