Elon Musk watch (was Elon Muskrat watch)

To be fair, the quality of the advertising is improving.

Lawsuit by ludicrously self-styled "free speech absolutist" dismissed by judge on grounds of violating free speech?

US judge Charles Breyer:
“Sometimes it is unclear what is driving a litigation, and only by reading between the lines of a complaint can one attempt to surmise a plaintiff’s true purpose. Other times, a complaint is so unabashedly and vociferously about one thing that there can be no mistaking that purpose. This case represents the latter circumstance. This case is about punishing the defendants for their speech.”

Tesla Recalls All Cybertrucks Due to Dangerous Faulty Accelerators

TechCrunch reports that Elon Musk’s Tesla is facing another setback as it recalls all 3,878 Cybertrucks delivered so far due to a manufacturing defect in the accelerator pedal assembly. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has reported that the pedal can dislodge and get caught in the trim around the footwell, potentially leading to unintended acceleration and accidents.

The recall comes amidst a challenging week for Tesla, which saw the company lay off more than 10 percent of its workforce and lose two high-ranking executives. Additionally, Tesla asked shareholders to re-vote on CEO Elon Musk’s substantial compensation package, which a judge had previously struck down earlier this year.

This is not unique to Tesla, all car manufactures have recalls, some are more dangerous than others.

I hear it may be more like 6000. Now, if Austin had just given that $64M to the 2700 workers then each worker would pocket $24k, or about $6k for each year the gigafactory has been there. Meanwhile the gigafactory employed a lot of people to build it and employed about 20,000 people over the last couple of years so Austin probably came out well ahead in this deal.

Harsh, and not even particularly fair, but amused me all the same.

Boy has the worm turned on "the real life Tony Stark". At some point we'll start seeing articles revisit his space junk prank to attack him. His cars have always been garbage. Just check my history here on it. Only reason people are now programmed told to no longer praise him and to go on the attack is due to him moving away from the machine and speaking against "the message (tm)".

Even here on Whyzzat I called him a "robber baron" and "Elon Muskrat". I haven't changed my opinion of his early business practices or most of his product. Even if I like some of the things he's done politically and socially in recent years doesn't make the other stuff good.

Him laying off people is not even on my radar. It's par for the course in business, especially the auto industry. I've said all along Tesla would never be a viable company as it stands and that has not changed.

I find it fascinating that the Elon Musk haters spend more time finding out what he's doing than the Elon fanboys. I'm not saying this is Red, below is a good example of two people that don't like Elon but they sure know his entire life story, lol. Is this an example of that 100 million dollars spent per year by the Oil Industry to spread FUD about electric cars? Or maybe some people just find it fun to talk bad about rich people because they are jealous?

what reasonable people LIKE is rockets and EV's. None of which elon actually invented. For a while he was clever at PR.

then he decided it's more fun being a Famous person and now we see what an a$$ he is all day long.
He thinks he's funny. He's not. No one is interested in watching rich little boys playing with their toys. It's boring.

Fortunately, rockets and EV's have evolved way past him. We can ignore elon.

I don't condone this, just pointing it out because it's local to me and probably won't make news outside local.

‘F— Elon': Cybertrucks tagged with vulgar message for Tesla CEO in Fort Lauderdale

Someone in Fort Lauderdale isn't a fan of Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

Video posted by Only in Dade showed multiple Cybertrucks with the message "F--- Elon" written on them at a parking lot in the area of Northeast 19th Avenue and Northeast 9th Place.

The video shows long rows of the Cybertrucks tagged with the message in some sort of black ink.

Fort Lauderdale Police said 34 vehicles in total were found vandalized Friday morning.

The lot was reportedly leased by Tesla recently, and other vehicles sold by the company could be seen among the Cybertrucks.

On Elon’s worst day he’s doing 100000x better than all of us combined.

Tesla’s Cybertruck, touted for its rugged design, faced a bizarre setback at a car wash. After the wash, the 6,600-pound truck shut down, rendering its console blank and transforming it into a giant metal brick.

Despite its intended off-road prowess, the vehicle struggled with mundane tasks. Tesla advises against washing the truck in direct sunlight to prevent corrosion, and offers a special “Car Wash Mode.”

“Failure to put Cybertruck in Car Wash Mode may result in damage,” the company’s manual reads. “Damage caused by car washes is not covered by the warranty.”

I thought this would be bullshit but I was oh so very wrong. It's actually worse.

‘Thought it was bullet proof?’: Cybertruck driver shows what happens if you take one through an automatic car wash

In short, Tesla warned that going through certain car washes risked damaging the car’s paint and exterior. It also warned that the car’s warranty doesn’t cover damage caused by improper washing.

‘Five hours to reset a computer?’: Cybertruck owner says touchscreen broke after going to a car wash

According to Tesla themselves, yes there is a "Car Wash Mode".

CAUTION
Failure to put Cybertruck in Car Wash Mode may result in damage (for example, to the charge port or windshield wipers). Damage caused by car washes is not covered by the warranty.

Not even counting hurricanes, just common spring & summer thunderstorms in South Florida will be more invasive than a car wash! Cybertruck is more like Fragiletruck!

Car Wash mode works great if you start the movie Bladerunner play in your Cybertruck monitor before entering.

‘Entourage’ Star Kevin Dillon Says Tesla Stopped Mid-Car Wash, Causing Fender Bender

The Entourage star’s Tesla took an unintended stop mid-car wash, with police saying the incident caused a rear-end ripple effect for three vehicles in line behind the actor, according to a report by TMZ.

The incident reportedly took place at a Los Angeles-area drive-through car wash on Monday last week.

Sources told TMZ that Dillon was the cause of the fender bender involving the three cars that were behind him — not the car wash equipment.

--

Sources also told TMZ that the car wash had a warning affixed to it informing Tesla owners that any sudden movements in their seat may result in their vehicle automatically shifting into park, which could result in injury to others or damage to nearby cars.

I wonder if there will be a follow up. A fender bender in a Tesla usually means the car is totaled out.
