"These documents show for the first time that local Nimby anti-wind groups are co-ordinating and working with national fossil-fuel funded advocacy groups to wreck the wind industry," said Gabe Elsner, a co-director of the Checks and Balances, the accountability group which unearthed the proposal and other documents.
Among its main recommendations, the proposal calls for a national PR campaign aimed at causing "subversion in message of industry so that it effectively because so bad that no one wants to admit in public they are for it."
It suggests setting up "dummy businesses" to buy anti-wind billboards, and creating a "counter-intelligence branch" to track the wind energy industry. It also calls for spending $750,000 to create an organization with paid staff and tax-exempt status dedicated to building public opposition to state and federal government policies encouraging the wind energy industry.
Campaign groups and spokespersons for the wind industry say there has been a sharp rise in organised opposition since early 2009 when Obama put investment in renewable energy at the heart of his economic recovery plan.
"We do see evidence of co-ordination," said Peter Kelley a spokesman for the American Wind Energy Association. "The same rhetoric pops up all over the place. Things that are disproven, that are demonstrably untrue, continually get repeated."
Realists? so you've changed sides? During the Bush years the administration was always making fun of the "reality based" rest of the world. Furthermore, the right don't get to claim the title of realists while so many of them believe in a magical sky spirit that is on their side.
I agree
there are too may people who believe in magic unicorns riding rainbows
we realists are laughing

actually your post is a perfect example of a "reality based" foolyou almost said "nigger"... i think you should... it's what ya mean...
Ah, but they don't. That's just something someone made up. On the other hand, what I said is completely true. They really do believe in a magical sky spirit. That's what the storybook says so that's what they believe - evidence be damned.those so called "reality based" fools believe a man god riding a magic unicorn shitting skittles will solve all their problems.
The world is a better off with people believing in the magical sky spirit who's central teaching is the "Sermon on the Mount" then "reality based" idiots looking for messianic political saviors. John "two Americas" Edwards in 2004, now Barrack "The One" Obama. "reality based" idiots filling the vacuum of traditional religion with faddish cultural substitutes does not make the world a better place. They really do believe in a magical sky spirit. what a moron!
the world will be way better off when religion is thrown into the garbage where it belongs

There is nothing to indicate that Jesus ever said such things nor is there evidence that Jesus ever existed (or at least the ones Christians like to claim). The Sermon on the Mount was written by a human being a considerable time after it was claimed to have been said but is composed of a bunch of aphorisms that are scattered through the old testament but are also fairly common religious themes and had been for thousands of years. You can hold the sentiments of the sermon on the mount without having a sky spirit. On the other hand, a lot of sky spirit believers are happy to kick the beatitudes to the ground and stomp on them - they especially don't like being meek and poor. The world is a better off with people believing in the magical sky spirit who's central teaching is the "Sermon on the Mount"
That stuff is actually made up by your lot. It doesn't come out of the left - it is a fabrication of the right. It's part of their stupid game to make up these things and claim that the other side said them - sort of a cross between a smear and a straw man.then "reality based" idiots looking for messianic political saviors. John "two Americas" Edwards in 2004, now Barrack "The One" Obama.
Irrelevant, the message that is being taught is what is important. There is nothing to indicate that Jesus ever said such things nor is there evidence that Jesus ever existed
