GoFundMe Suspends Candace Owens’ Fundraiser for Cafe, Bans Her Account

GoFundMe has suspended a fundraiser hosted by BLEXIT founder Candace Owens and reportedly banned her from the site after she created a fundraiser in support of an Alabama business owner who criticized the George Floyd protests.

Candace Owens has been banned from the fundraising platform GoFundMe, according to a report by Daily Mail.

But Lopez accused the Mayor of forsaking his district while she focused on the Loop.

“When downtown is in lockdown, our neighborhoods are next,” Lopez warned during the call, adding, “We’re seeing this destruction … We have seen where, in other cities, this has gone on for days; and we need to come up with a better plan for days, at least for the next five days, to try and stabilize our communities.”

He added that some parts of the Back of the Yards — where leftist radical Saul Alinsky worked in the 30s and 40s — and Brighton Park neighborhoods looked like a “virtual war zone” after the rioters passed through.

Lopez added that he was not blaming the Chicago Police for not being able to prevent the looting, but lamented: “Half our neighborhoods are already obliterated. It’s too late.”

Lopez also worried that the rioters would turn from the businesses to the citizens: “Once they’re done looting and rioting, and whatever’s going to happen tonight, God help us, what happens when they start going after residents? Going into the neighborhoods? Once they start trying to break down people’s doors if they think they’ve got something.”

He noted that there were “gang-bangers with AK-47s walking around right now, just waiting to settle some scores,” and they could use the chaos as cover.

When Mayor Lightfoot did not immediately respond to his points, Lopez added, “It’s not something you ignore. This is a question that I have.”

The mayor, though, was utterly dismissive of Lopez’ worries.

“I think you’re 100% full of shit, is what I think,” Lightfoot snapped.

The reply set the alderman off, and he shot back, “No offense — {bleep} you, then. Who are you to tell me I’m full of shit? Maybe you should come out and see what’s going on.”

Lopez actually sounds like a Dem that cares about his community, unlike that total scum sack Lightfoot.
 
Holy cow has 2020 turned weird. Bernie actually puts out a sensible, intelligent, well thought out statement. The admitted Socialist (cough, cough, Communist) is the only sensible person that is left leaning? The rank and file Commies aren't going to like this. Suddenly we see rest of the current Democrat Part were secretly much further left than Bernie.

Bernie Sanders Comes Out Against Abolishing Police

Do I think we should not have police departments in America? No, I don’t. There’s no city in the world that does not have police departments. What you need are—I didn’t call for more money for police departments. I called for police departments that have well-educated, well-trained, well-paid professionals. And, too often around this country right now, you have police officers who take the job at very low payment, don’t have much education, don’t have much training—and I want to change that. I also called for the transformation of police departments into—understanding that many police departments and cops deal every day with issues of mental illness, deal with issues of addiction, and all kinds of issues which should be dealt with by mental-health professionals or others, and not just by police officers.

I think we want to redefine what police departments do, give them the support they need to make their jobs better defined. So I do believe that we need well-trained, well-educated, and well-paid professionals in police departments. Anyone who thinks that we should abolish all police departments in America, I don’t agree.
 
REPORT: LAPD Probing Lawyer Who Urged People to ‘Kill Police Officers’ Then Offered ‘Free Representation’

The LAPD is investigating a California attorney who urged people to “kill police officers” on social media then offered to “represent” them free of charge if caught.

“A California criminal defense attorney is being investigated by the LAPD for allegedly advocating that black people kill police officers and offering free representation to anyone willing to do so,” reports the Washington Examiner.

“It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve defended ‘terrorists.’ … sign me up pro bono for somebody’s granddad putting a couple hollow points right between the eyes of these PTSD-addled rednecks. I’d take one or two pro bono,” said a screenshot according to Fox Los Angeles.

Activists had transformed the hotel in south Minneapolis into a shelter for more than 200 homeless people as riots and fires consumed buildings just a block away, following the police killing of George Floyd. With the curfew and unrest displacing people living outside in nearby tents, the hotel became a kind of sanctuary for nearly two weeks.
