I think you missed my examples on the first page of previous Presidential candiates (all Republicans BTW) who modified flag images with their own spin. AKA disercration as you shouted. Including GWB. Which, as far as my memory goes, no Dems here were frothing at the mouth over that his election runs. As for following great communists you mean like Nixon and Reagan right?

Errm, 3rd parties doing a mockup is one thing. A sitting persident commisioning, using and selling these designs is something else. You are really unable to make the connection here?

The Nixon, Bush are election paraphelina just like the Obama flag. Your issue appears, at best, free enterprise charging for shirts. Though everytime I've put up a sign I've donated to the person, so I don't see it much different.

The use of stars, stripes in various formations during elections has about a 150 year history. LINK Including many Republicans - Nixon, Reagan, Bush I, Bush II etc.
 
this is so laughable. If someone commissioned me to design a political button/poster/etc (party is irrelevant because Green is the only color that matters for any job) one of the first things I'd do is research what had already been designed.
The purpose being is seeing what appeals and works for the target audience. Also known as voters.

after a very cursory look 90% of all these things have the red/white/blue colors and some sort of flag design. There's only one reason why anyone would think out of all these designs only one sticks out as being "different".

and we know what that is, don't we?

if there is it's - I'm guessing - only happening on faux news where people create nonsensical conversations because they have nothing else to do over there.

In the real world people find putting a dog On your car a bit odd, but we all have way more things about mittens that bug us than that. Like his complete disdain for what he thinks of as the "lazy poor"

Wow. It's as if he treats his dog better than he thinks of us.

IMO there ate differences in the choices we make as men versus doing what your Dad says. In the case of Obama he was a kid 30 years ago when it happened. The responsibility lies more so with his Dad.

We do not even get the *slightest* chance staying uninformed considering US politics. Every bloody fart a US politician makes will result in epic internet posting diarrhea.
