March for Our Lives – This is What Demagoguery Looks Like

Many of the marchers, last week and this weekend, chanted that familiar left-wing refrain: “This is what democracy looks like!” Perhaps so: mob rule is the crudest form of democracy.

But the very reason we have the Second Amendment — and the First Amendment, which makes these marches possible — is that the Founders of our Republic wanted to put certain liberties beyond the reach of the majority. They understood that the dignity of the individual — including the inherent, God-given right to self-defense — could not withstand the temporary passions of the moment without special protection.

And so it would be more accurate to say: “This is what demagoguery looks like.” If it is the model for the activism of the next generation, America is in grave danger.

They are very clear in their intentions.

I'm sure we discussed Obama mining Fakebook back in 2012, which the Liberal media praised him for back then, but now are attacking organizations doing the same in 2016 for Trump. The Liberal Media is not mentioning what Obummer did in 2012 and feigning outrage now.

Study supports Trump: 5.7 million noncitizens may have cast illegal votes

A research group in New Jersey has taken a fresh look at postelection polling data and concluded that the number of noncitizens voting illegally in U.S. elections is likely far greater than previous estimates.

As many as 5.7 million noncitizens may have voted in the 2008 election, which put Barack Obama in the White House.

The research organization Just Facts, a widely cited, independent think tank led by self-described conservatives and libertarians, revealed its number-crunching in a report on national immigration.

So eight people on my staff spent that summer of 2016, I published in the fall of that year, seeing if they could get negatives for Hillary Clinton.”

“So, for example, we typed in on Bing and Yahoo, ‘Hillary Clinton is….’ and we get ‘Hillary Clinton is the devil’, ‘Hillary Clinton is sick’, Hillary Clinton is dying of cancer’, literally eight or ten extremely negative search results because that’s what people were, in fact, searching for. So then we go to Google, I have screenshots of all of this, we type in ‘Hillary Clinton is…’ and we get ‘Hillary Clinton is awesome’, ‘Hillary Clinton is winning’, and that’s it.”

Facebook intensifies censorship ahead of congressional testimony by Zuckerberg

Zuckerberg announced Friday that the company will “require people who manage large pages to be verified,” meaning they will have to provide the company, and by extension the US government, with their real names and locations.

Zuckerberg declared that the measure “will make it much harder for people to run pages using fake accounts, or to grow virally and spread misinformation or divisive content.” In addition, the company will prohibit ad purchases by individuals whose identities have not been “verified.”

The move is a major step toward the fulfillment of the demand by the US intelligence agencies that social media companies end online anonymity, making it easier not only to track, but to arrest people for expressing oppositional political opinions.

Zuckerberg added that the move would involve the hiring of thousands of additional censors and “security” personnel. “In order to require verification for all of these pages and advertisers, we will hire thousands of more people,” he wrote.

Within hours of the announcement by Facebook on Friday, the company blocked an advertisement for a public meeting held by the Socialist Equality Party, which is affiliated with the World Socialist Web Site, entitled “No to war, inequality, and censorship,” on the grounds that it does not allow ads that contain “shocking, disrespectful, or sensational content.” Other ads related to the Oklahoma teachers strike were blocked yesterday.
 
19-Year-Old Archivist Charged For Downloading Freedom-of-Information Releases

The family was going through its morning routine last Wednesday when the police banged on the front door.

The mother says she, her husband, and two of her kids were corralled in the living room.

"They read us our rights and told us not to talk," she said.

"Our daughter, she was really traumatized, really bad — brought her to tears, the way they conducted this," said the father.

She says at one point there were 15 officers in the home.

"People were going into the kitchen, were going into the dining room, going upstairs. They went into the basement. They were [traipsing] through the house, everywhere," the mother said.

She says the family is still working through the mess they left behind.

"They rifled through everything. They turned over mattresses, they took drawers and emptied out drawers, they went through personal papers, pictures," she said. "It was totally devastating and traumatic."

She says police seized her son's computers, plus her husband's cellphone and work computers, which has left him unable to do his job.

They also seized her younger son's desktop computer, after he was arrested on the street walking to high school.

Officers took her 13-year-old daughter to question her in a police car.

"My little ones are asking, 'Will I be able to get a job because we were arrested?'" she said.

Total joke. No passwords or usernames required. All publicly accessible if you type in the number in the url and it happens to link to a document. Sequential url access is like a classroom exercise. If they were private and confidential documents then they shouldn't have been put up in public - which is where they were as far as I or anyone vaguely familiar with the web would say that they were. This is ridiculous.

Spanish students forced out of their houses to make room for Muslim migrants

Hundreds of immigrants arriving aboard the Aquarius, docked yesterday afternoon in Alicante, where their children, aged between 12 and 17-years-old will be in the custody of social workers.

Several students from the local student residence are now being forced from their lodgings despite having paid their accommodation fees so the migrants, arriving from Libya, can be housed, according to the online daily Actualidad Valdepeñas.

A young German language student in Alicante named Rubén, who is planning to live and work in Germany in his future, paid €750 a month for his room, has now been forced to leave along with the other students housed there.

His mother has stated that her son has had to leave the residence to make room for the Aquarius migrants: “They have told us that they cannot be there because they come with many illnesses, so this is a health issue”.

“It’s like we are solving one problem by causing others, and this is a big problem because right now there is nowhere in Alicante for my son to live and continue with his studies. We are going to go there to see if we can find something, but it will be very difficult since everything is already booked for the Summer months,” she explains….

Soros Calls Obama His 'Greatest Disappointment,' Says He Doesn't 'Particularly' Want To Be A Democrat

Soros, 87, said in a New York Times article published Tuesday that Obama was his “greatest disappointment."

But he immediately walked back the diss a bit — after an aide prompted him to do so.

Prompted by an aide, he immediately qualified himself, saying that he hadn’t been disappointed by Obama’s presidency but felt let down on a professional level. While he had no desire for a formal role in the administration, he had hoped that Obama would seek his counsel, especially on financial and economic matters. Instead, he was frozen out.

After Obama was elected, “he closed the door on me,” Soros said. “He made one phone call thanking me for my support, which was meant to last for five minutes, and I engaged him, and he had to spend another three minutes with me, so I dragged it out to eight minutes.” He suggested that he had fallen victim to an Obama personality trait. “He was someone who was known from the time when he was competing for the editorship of The Harvard Law Review to take his supporters for granted and to woo his opponents,” Soros said.​

Soros, wouldn’t say whom he's backing in 2020, but he did say, “I don’t particularly want to be a Democrat.” Now, the uber-liberal is calling for more bipartisanship.

Anyone who actively wants to be either a Democrat or a Republican is definitely one for the watching. ;)
