I have "Liberal" friends IRL who were celebrating Alex Jones being deplatformed. In one example I point for point explained why it is a terrible precedent. The most obvious is the fact the First Amendment is not about protecting speech you like, it is about protecting speech you DON'T like. Anyhow I pretty easily shut down him with facts where he wouldn't argue, but he still ended with "I'm done with Alex Jones, I'm glad he's banned".

Like him or hate him, Alex Jones was correct more often than not and he was winning because he was (usually) hitting on the truth. He does and says some complete whackjob things at times. that even pissed me off like some initial stupid shit about the airport shooting a few miles from my house, but on balance he was usually right on and many times was first to break a story. He got too close IMO.

They just deplatformed someone with a bigger following than CNN. I want to know where the hell the UN is in all this?

Yeah if you know me, you know that was a rhetorical question. Of course the UN won't stand up for Alex Jones here, despite their own agreements.

Twitter suspended former Army Ranger and Benghazi hero Kris Paronto over the weekend for mocking former President Barack Obama and liberals after another Twitter account claimed that Obama killed Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.

The incident happened after a far-left Twitter account told Robert J. O'Neill — the Navy SEAL who is credited with killing bin Laden — that it was Obama who killed the Islamic terrorist.

Paronto responded by mocking the tweet, writing: "OMG ??!! Did you just tell the guy who Shot Bin Laden that @BarackObama did it ?? BWAHAHAHA.

Poulson also claimed he was shocked that few Google employees had chosen to resign in protest, expressing, “It’s incredible how little solidarity there is on this… It is my understanding that when you have a serious ethical disagreement with an issue, your proper course of action is to resign.”

According to reports, Google’s censored Chinese search engine, which has been in development since Spring 2017, “will blacklist access to certain websites and restrict search terms related to human rights, democracy, religion, and peaceful protest.”

Employees working on the project were ordered to “keep quiet about it,” and “deflect questions,” and following the revelation, over a dozen human rights groups condemned Google for the project.
 
Anyone who ever scoffed at the concept of a "Deep State" has just been proven to be a complete chump.
