I fail to see how that is on topic for "political jokes" thread, when he is simply stating what happened. Have you read the inventory of what they took? Seems you are getting all your info from pop culture.

For me, almost everything he says is a political joke and that quote has more than one element of humour. Even wee things like "...my safe's..."
I wouldn't expect any cult of personality victims to see the funny side but humour is subjective. The vast majority of your posts on this thread are equally unfunny to me.
As for him "simply stating what happened," maybe so, maybe no, but if those claiming such as the below Twitter thread are anywhere close to accurate, it makes Trump's quote even funnier:
