The Scottish government pulled this nonsense during COP26 or whatever it was last year in my city. Took all the diesel buses of the roads and replaced them with "zero-emission" buses, some of which they had to use petrol generators to charge due to their own prolonged failure to invest in electric infrastructure. A ludicrous absurdity intended to make them appear more "green". Seems it worked with a section of the less curious Scottish electorate.
