President Obama is a mix of Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton. I will call him Jimmy Clinton or Bill Carter. He is clueless and he is giving our freedom away to debt and Socialism. He has already begun to renege on campaign promises with an “in your face” attitude. It is appalling that the very people who chastised President Bush for any spending and for the war are just as guilty and then some and nobody in the liberal news media is calling them out. Socialism is on the rise in the USA and it is being promoted by childish politicians who are lazy, selfish, illiterate and disgusting.

Mostly agreed, plus the claim of bipartisanship was a total joke.

Doesn't look like the honeymoon even lasted 100 days.

This is your opinion because Obama is breaking campaign promises and spending the US into oblivion? Obama is just Bush again but with whole sentences. Bush was Clinton/Carter on steroids. What's your point? That politicians are all the same? I'll agree with that - but you seem to think that it's OK to be scum if you're Republican scum but not Democrat scum. You play sides, Kirk, not principles. You are a raging moral relativist.

Yeah cuz the other 11 trillion which came first has nothing to do with that. It must be the 1 trillion billion spent....

Here's my answer. The Republicans are crying foul and this will drive the country to hell. The answer is -- DONT TAKE THE MONEY

I want to see the Sen. Boner front an ammendment. Anyone who doesn't sign the bill cannot get the money in their district. If it really won't work they should step out and deny any receipts of funds.

You know what, Pal. Your talking about your President here. He's fighting a war on terror, a war in Afghanistan, a war for the economy and, buddy, you may not have voted for him, you may not even like him, but now the war is on you better line up behind your commander in chief or you'd better just go hang like the America Hating little traitor you are.

Standard Republican rhetoric.... Repbullicans called people against Bush's plans traitors! But they get to call for Obama's failures, cuz you know afterall it's been 30 days, and therefore I'm a patriot. Rush, don't bust me for drugs, Limbaugh is the poster boy for this sort of hate speech with his statement of 'I hope Obama fails'. Because afterall we know how good Americans truly desire their government to fail. He's a true patriot.

In the first 30 days Obama has done..
.. order to shutdown Guantanmo
.. women's right promoting equal work for equal pay
.. changed several anti-environment acts
.. is allowing stem cell research to go forward
.. signed SCHIP
.. increased military in Afganistan
.. extended unemployment benefits
and passed the stimulus plan

There is likely more but those are the ones I can pull out of my head.

As for the broken promises claim its a bit hard to meet all promises within the first 30 days but that's what Kirk is trying to sell us...

According to PolitiFact he has broken 2 promises, compromised 3, and kept 14.

You use the logic of a woman. Politicians are not all the same. I am drawn to correct thinking. Wrong thinking is punishable. Bush may not be perfect but he is not spending my money for useless things an calling it a stimulus package. I am more upset with the Democrat Congress. They did not monitor the Bush stimulus bill and now they are spending my freedom away. I don't care what your political position is or what color your skin is. I am just tired of stupid people. Right is never wrong and freely spending my money on crap sucks! One more thing, I did not like they way Bush did NOTHING about protecting the US boarders.

http://politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/

while it's still too early to judge, Obama is moving in the right direction.

the assholes like to characterize him as some sort of superbeing - those of us who live in the real world just see Obama as a normal educated man like the rest of us (in the real world, that is) who is just doing the best he can with a shitty situation.

I know if I was trying to fix some jackasses mistakes I'd just do the best I can. heck, I HAVE been in that situation and guess what? I did just fine. No one knew there was a problem when I was done. Of course, i didn't have as HUGE a problem as Obama.

I certainly am not expecting miracles. It's those moron fake religious kooks that look for that. Obama - like the rest of us normal people - just believe in sweat and brains.

I don’t want the Quatloos and I blame the liberal Democrats in Congress because they make the laws and pass the budgets. The country is being driven to hell by the liberal social movement for the past 45 to 50 years. What planet are you from? I have scanned your vessel and it is not a Federation ship.

Thought you'd like that. Figured you'd get a nice nostalgic feeling about how much fun it's been saying crap like that for the last 8 years.

Obviously you have no clue what you are talking about since there are different philosophies between Liberalism and Conservatism. The last 8 years, and now from the Executive Branch perspective are 180 degrees apart. However, the congress is the same, Democrat controlled and liberal. In addition, the news media, a liberal propaganda machine, has clearly sought to influence public opinion and sway it toward Socialism. So, go back to your Wii Mario Karts and let the adults discuss the relevant issues.

Save Reagan one of the best and the most popular president in modern times. He has an airport named after him, a class of aircraft carrier and a carrier, a missile range and much more. Under Reagan the economy boomed, communism was defeated and we have missile defense. The Reagan policies secured this country as the only free world super power. God Bless the USA and death to terrorists. Chekov, lock photon torpedoes and fire!

Of course, you weren't around during the Reagan years and your ships computer seems to have been infected with late nineties propaganda. Ronald Reagan doubled the size of the government and tripled the debt. In many ways Bush has emulated him. Early on Dick Cheney (who interned in the White House during the Nixon presidency and was a Republican Congressman during Reagans presidency) told Bush "Reagan proved that deficits don't matter". Reagan's approval ratings for his two terms puts him 6th out of the last ten presidents (with even George H.W. Bush beating him soundly). Reagan's approval rating at the end of his term was 63% while Clinton's was 66% (while Clinton argued about the meaning of "it" and Reagan had been failing to recall if he knew anything about smuggling weapons and cocaine).

Under Republican presidents since 1960, the federal deficit has averaged $131 billion a year. Under Democrats, that figure is $30 billion. In an average Republican year the deficit has grown by $36 billion. In the average Democratic year it has shrunk by $25 billion. The national debt has gone up more than $200 billion a year under Republican presidents and less than $100 billion a year under Democrats.
LINK Now that was from 2005. Bush's last 3 years only make the Republican case worse.

LINK Bottom line: if you're well off, vote for Republicans. But if you make less than $150,000 a year, Republicans are your friends only one year in four (election years).

LINK Democrats have a clear edge on GDP growth: 4.4% vs. 2.6%. Even if you start the clock with Truman in 1949 ... Under Democratic administration, employment has grown an average of 3.0% a year (2.9% if you start in 1949); under Republicans, 1.3%....

If the country is driven to hell due to fiscal events it's not due to Democratic Presidents...
