Holy hell! I've seen some car abuse in my day... But wow. That takes a special kind of ignoring the sounds your car makes. I gotta believe it was making some really gnarly nasty grinding sounds for quite some time. The bearings are literally (using that word correctly) gone. That's incredible that it didn't manage to seize or really mangle something worse. I wonder how many miles it took to wear that far through. I'm amazed the heat didn't snap the CV or shaft. And who the heck smeared the white grease in there? It needs a bit more than that! LOL!
