Funny thinking about the 70s in the UK, when seeing a non white face was still a novelty, when towns were still full of relatives and people would band together in common cause because they recognised their common heritage and would form unions and such and strike for better conditions and a living wage. Thank goodness that's all fixed now.

Not fixed but progress has been made, albeit "two steps forward, one step back". And we certainly seem to be on one of the back steps just now so your sarcasm is understandable.
