Chelsea Clinton, Achiever of Nothing, Is Being Rewarded for Lifetime Achievement

Just last week it was announced that Chelsea is now on the Board of Directors of Expedia. A move that had those on the left and right rolling their eyes over the obvious machinations of the Clintons behind the scenes.

But on Wednesday, The Hill — are you shocked? — reported that Chelsea will finally be honored for all of her years in the trenches. The hours of toil spent drawing a six-figure salary for almost no work at NBC. The long hours of being the vice-chair of her parent’s slush fund, The Clinton Foundation.

That’s right. Finally. Finally, the 37-year-old is being recognized for all those years of doing nothing with a Lifetime Achievement Award from Variety.

Variety will hand out its lifetime achievement awards during its annual “Women in Power” luncheon at the ritzy Cipriani restaurant in midtown Manhattan on April 18.​

Sounds about right for a Clinton.

Troubled DNC Asks ALL Staff Members For Resignation Letters

Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez has asked all staff at the organization to submit resignation letters amid efforts to overhaul the party, reports NBC News.

The outlet states that the DNC – “which has been stung by recent crises” – will have an opportunity to remake its headquarters from scratch with the move.

NBC News also states that Perez has asked for the resignation letters to be dated April 15.

The Hill reports that the DNC has faced heavy criticism in recent times for a number of things, including “the large role” Clinton’s presidential campaign had in “running the party.”

Signs of tension between the DNC and Hillary Clinton began to appear following President Donald Trump’s victory, after which DNC staff claimed arrogance cost them the election.

NBC News states that there were also concerns within the DNC during the Obama years that the President was “ignoring” the party, which ultimately left them with “a crisis of confidence and competence.”

New Book To Feature Santa As A Gay Man In An Interracial Relationship

Publisher Harper Design has confirmed they will be releasing a new picture book that features Santa Claus as a gay man in an interracial relationship, reports Time.

The book, slated for release on October 10, reportedly tells the story of a black Santa Claus who lives with his white husband in the North Pole. The men are interchangeable – at least in public, where Santa’s husband often fills in for him.

Author Daniel Kibblesmith, who works as a staff writer for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, reportedly wrote the book after tweeting out this message in December.

Baltimore Mayor Supported $15 Minimum Wage Until She Learned What It Would Do to City’s Economy

During the 2016 campaign, Catherine Pugh was one of dozens of Democratic politicians calling for the implementation of a $15 per hour minimum wage.

Since being elected mayor of Baltimore in November, though, Pugh has changed her mind about the merits of forcing employers to pay such a high hourly rate. Last week, Pugh announced she would veto a $15 minimum wage bill passed by city council, citing concerns about how it would hurt the city's economy, nonprofits and charities working in the city, and the city government's bottom line.

After doing "some research," Pugh said at a press conference on March 24, "it is not appropriate at this time that I will sign this bill, so I am vetoing this bill."

Pugh said the bill would not be in the best interest of Baltimore's 76,000 unemployed workers and would drive businesses out of the city to the surrounding counties.

Marvel’s comic book sales have been dropping.

David Gabriel addressed this at Marvel’s Retailer summit a few days ago, telling ICV2, “what we heard was that people didn’t want any more diversity. They didn’t want female characters out there. That’s what we heard, whether we believe that or not.”

“I don’t know that that’s really true,” he continued. “But that’s what we saw in sales. We saw the sales of any character that was diverse, any character that was new, our female characters, anything that was not a core Marvel character, people were turning their nose up against.”

I have no idea what people would dislike. I mean, They made Trump into a super villain right?
