2012 Election Popular Vote by County high resolution pdf

I think Al Gore will win unless there's some vote-counting chicanery.....

".... oh, let's all meet up in the year 2000..."

:D

You are correct. I have posted the corrections based on votes to those items in this thread.

I think a thorough investigation should be done to determine if there was multiple types of voter fraud happened and how it did, or did not, change the end results. Another example is that machines, appear, to be altering votes cast for Obama. That being said if PA went Romney it doesn't matter much as Obama would win the Presidential election without PA.

I find this map to not convey important information. The USA doesn't vote by land area. We vote via the electorial college which is based on population. So these sort of infographs reflecting not only the areas of the nation but the population within those areas I think does a better job displaying information that's involved in the Presidential vote. This better displays the influence of the headcount on the election.

I'm searching for a 2012 post election one but I haven't found one I liked yet.

I believe that elections reward politicians who can run a good campaign. The campaign itself is a bit of a test to see how well a leader can lead his own supporters. If your own supporters can't do a good job they either haven't been led well or the leader did a bad job of delegating. And there are certainly some signs that Romney had some failings with his campaign:

Inside Team Romney's whale of an IT meltdown
It was supposed to be a "killer app," but a system deployed to volunteers by Mitt Romney's presidential campaign may have done more harm to Romney's chances on Election Day—largely because of a failure to follow basic best practices for IT projects.

Instead, volunteers couldn't get the system to work from the field in many states—in some cases because they had been given the wrong login information. The system crashed repeatedly. At one point, the network connection to the Romney campaign's headquarters went down because Internet provider Comcast reportedly thought the traffic was caused by a denial of service attack.
oh, snap!

that romney sure is fabulous, ain't he ?

really knows how to Git Her Done

oh, even better:
To build Orca, the Romney campaign turned to Microsoft

the Romney campaign turned to Microsoft and an unnamed application consulting firm.

the Orca software was a total disaster, the consulting firm were total incompetents. It actually preformed even worse than described in the story.

The Narwhal data mining that Obama did was pretty effective

So expect future campaigns to do data mining of independent voters.

There are 21 districts in Cleveland where Mr. Romney received precisely 0 votes. In 23 districts, he received precisely 1 vote. In the districts where Obama won 100% of the vote, there was 100% turnout. What a coincidence!

article written by a republican on the election and why the gop and the teabaggers lost

Cry Babies And Sore Losers

You didn’t lose because of a liberal media, liberal college campuses, liberal polls that were “weighted to Democrats” (mostly because they were accurate), or because of “election fraud”… actually, that probably benefited you this time.

No. You lost because your policies, tone, conspiracies, rigid inflexibility and irrational rhetoric helped align enough moderates, swing voters, and minority groups whom otherwise could be persuaded by Republicans, to align with Democrats and a beatable incumbent.

It’s not that you didn’t get your message out, it’s that we all actually heard it and threw up a little in our mouths.

Frankly, you’re embarrassing – more so than a crazy family member at dinner, or having your mom drop you off at a high school dance.

You say stupid shit and look stupid saying it.

You pass amendments to ban flag burning and then hang it upside down and post it on Facebook when you lose.

You preach limited government in the economy when Democrats are in charge and then look the other way when you’re in charge.

You want a government small enough to stay out of corporations and banks but big enough for bedrooms and hospital respirators (see Schiavo, Terri).

There’s a hatred inside of you that burns in a way that scares normal people.

the ORCA software was a total disaster, the consulting firm were total incompetents.

Consultants: Targeted Victory, FLS Connect, and The Stevens and Schriefer Group

Specifically: Zac Moffatt, Digital Director for the Romney campaign, Mike Beach co-founder of Targeted Victory, Stu Stevens of the Stevens and Schriefer Group

The ORCA training manuals are being described as a drunken monkey powerpoint

not surprised you understood NOTHING in his article.

btw: here's what one of the 47% does when dealing with reality

I'm sure none of you fake christians would give a shit

We were talking about PA. I doubt Cleveland, PA has 44 districts. That'd be about 25 people in a district. I'm guessing you mean Cleveland, Ohio. With blacks voting 93% of the time for Obama it's not surprising to find district where 0 Romney votes were cast. Though again I'd recommend investigating.

Interestingly it appears that more Mormons voted for Bush than Romney .

that's Cleveland OH
the closer the turnout approached 100% the closer Romneys vote percentage in the district was to 0%

In Philadelphia , the Wards that threw out the court appointed election observers all had close to 100% turnout, with 0% for Romney

Strange coincidences

Don't forget Florida too. It's unlikely they are coincidents. We can suppose until the cows come. However, to know what's going on it must be investigated. Without such investigation we wouldn't be able to determine blame (read criminal charges) or how to fix for the future.

The 47% are smiling

"Do not blame Caesar, blame the people of Rome who have so enthusiastically acclaimed and adored him and rejoiced in their loss of freedom and danced in his path and gave him a triumphal procession. Blame the people who hail him when he speaks in the Forum of the 'wonderful, good society' which shall now be Rome's, interpreted to mean: more money, more ease, more security, more living fatly at the expense of the industrious." -- Marcus Tullius Cicero

panem et circenses!

looking FORWARD to my 175 days of public holidays!

GOP recommends a new Ohio strategy for the next election. If used in 2012 the minority votes would win. LINK
