Two of Obama's sons beat 88 year old WWII vet to death

You want me to photo my NWA and ICE-T CDs?

Really looks like you need some "skoolin' "that not all Gangs produce rap albums, not all 'Gangsta Rappers' are really Gang members, nor are all of them black. A large part of this was show. You not knowing this and thereby associating a street gang as a group of rappers comes off racist. But, I'll be fair it's just a relationship you wrongly assumed.

In related news Cop Killer - the press and PMRC hated was a metal song by Body Count not a Gangsta Rap group. If you like metal you should get it, it's decent. The 2nd Body Count album was definitely not as good.

In further related news Martha Stewart spent more time in prison than Snoop Lion.
It seems red missed the KKK meeting where they remind everyone that all black people look alike

:D

It's called the cross race effect Otherwise known as CRE. It's been studied for years and is well established that it's true for all people not just "Racists".

that may be true for people very unfamiliar with a particular group

but who in America is unfamiliar with Black people??? especially in The South????

I think it's actually related more to unfamiliarity than to race. Races often live separately from each other but where societies are more mixed this is less true. To most people all killer whales look the same and all bonobos look the same and all gorillas etc. etc. etc. but naturalists that spend extended amounts of time observing wild animal groups pretty quickly get to know who is who in a group and find them as distinctive as individual humans.

Sheesh how dare I post the name of something with a mere couple million articles and a few 1000 studies on it.

actually it makes "the nature of reality" appear to have some nefarious extra racial value when the truth is it is little more than how humans see things... if you got mugged by a Holstein cow in a dark alley it's unlikely you'd be able to identify the uniqueness of its black patches good enuff for a police sketch artist to get an id on the right bovine perp, but trust me the farmer has no problem, at night, under headlight or moonlight... so familiarity has a good deal to do with it for some people... black people are actually 5 times better at getting it right than whites, know why? they have more choices, which makes it easier to be right. shadows are lost in darker pigmented skin so with just a few seconds of viewing you wont easily notice transitional features, the face of the white man cast a sea of identifiable shadows... highlighting noses, cheekbones and jawlines. and lets not forget, u can only be mugged by two kinds of black man. darker skinned and lighter skinned. black hair standard. you can get mugged by a myriad of white folks, gingers, brown hair, black hair, red hair,blonde... pasty white skin, freckles. tanned. over tanned. lightish brown (Italians) all very visible identifiers that are easy to remember because of the contrast. easier to see a goatee on a white person in the dark.... i dunno it's science, you are right about that, and there is a bunch of it out there. but it's sesame street level science at best and people tagging it with "race" have certainly presented it as if its something nefarious and yet uncontrollable within all of us, and truthfully its little more than this, some people, irregardless of color, have a higher mental regard for the minutia and as such will make better eyewitnesses than others. everybody already gets how shaky that testimony is to begin with.

That would be so much more believable if it was a couple of white kids that killed a black veteran.

No it wouldn't.

terminills ,
Go back through this thread and the now locked thread and see who are the ones making racist remarks and using racial slurs. That's all that really needs to be said...

....u can only be mugged by two kinds of black man. darker skinned and lighter skinned.....
well, that's not quite accurate. There's coffee, café au lait, caramel, chocolate, etc...there was a girl I went to HS with who was So dark the shadows in her face were BLUE. It was amazing. The variety in human coloring is quite astounding.

OK, so two inner city youths attacked and killed a pensioner. Right, OK, horrific crime but not exactly untypical.

So, help me out here folks, why is this being tied to Obama? I've looked and so far as I can find, there is no blood relationship between them?

Seems to me that if we are going to tie every crime that happens to whomever the President is at the time, we could end up backing up quite a way with the recriminations, without any solution.

Having gone through this thread twice, I think people on all sides need to step back and chill the fu¢k out before further things are said that cannot be unsaid.

The guy was not robbed and didn't know the attackers. He was attacked and viciously murdered because he was white, a cut and dried hate crime.

Obama himself made the connection.

Every American can make their own judgment about whether justice was served by the verdict in the George Zimmerman murder trial but one thing we should all recognize: President Obama's interference in a local law enforcement matter was unprecedented and inappropriate, and he comes away from the case looking badly tarnished by his poor judgment.

"If I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon," the president said when asked about the case in the Rose Garden on March 23, 2012, after many had called for Zimmerman's arrest but several weeks before he was charged. "When I think about this boy, I think about my own kids."

In fact, if the president had a son, he would have been born to extraordinary privilege and raised with all the advantages of two very affluent and highly educated parents. He would have gone to tony private schools. His path in life would have been almost as dissimilar from Trayvon's as one could imagine.

Yes, Obama's hypothetical son and Trayvon would have shared the same brown skin color. Would that have made them interchangeable? Not unless all brown-skinned boys are the same. Does the president really believe that?

The president's remarks created a clear impression that he was motivated by one of two factors, and we can only guess as to which, or what combination of the two, was at work here. One possibility is that this is merely another manifestation of the president's well-known narcissism: No matter what the situation may be, it's all about him.

The other, more troubling possibility is that the president surrendered to his political instincts. He wants disadvantaged Americans to believe that he and his family are one of them -- despite their life of unparalleled privilege -- and he wanted the prosecutors, judge and jury to believe that this was a case about race where justice demanded a guilty verdict.

If that was his motivation -- and we cannot know, but reasonable people certainly may suspect -- then Obama should be ashamed of his effort to stir America's turbulent, dangerous racial waters. The president's role is not to be a racial agitator, and the mark of a great civil rights leader has been a determination to reject the temptations of that approach.
