When you've had your fun and have gotten sick & tired of visiting the fuel station A Honda Civic 2.2 cdti awaits your attention.

Took my bro to Leeds today to buy a PooJoe .. I did 75mph just about all the way and got 57mpg

:-)

Mine..

@Scapegoat,

Honda does not sell the diesels in the USA. The 57MPG UK is about 47MPG USA. Which sounds about right as that's in the VW and Chevy diesel range. Diesel prices here run about 15% more expensive than gas. Which means one would spend the same amount for fuel for a 40MPG gas Honda. In the USA the Civic gas is rated up to 40MPG Hwy. Though at 75MPH it's probably closer to 30-32MPG area.

For the USA I'd like to see more cars like the Honda CNG. We have LOTS of CNG in the USA. The cost is about 1/2 that of gas, where I am. And they have been reported to get 40-42MPG on the high end. Imagine paying the equivalent of, roughly, 85MPG diesel for fuel? That'd be nice.

That was one thing nice about my VW TDI. Flying back and forth from Florida to Alabama doing about 75MPH, I would get a solid 40MPG +. 36MPG in the city with a heavy foot was typical.

I do miss the gas mileage...

Oh to live that close to where I work, much walking would I do...
That's why I bought a bicycle, which was working out smashingly until the recent hospitalization... Now it's a ride at my own peril situation until they get my meds straightened out.

Sorry to hear that mate.

So, finally picked up the Murano from the in laws. Got it for one heck of a good deal, so I couldn't refuse. Much bigger than what I would have looked for otherwise, but it was practically given to us so I couldn't refuse! Plus I still have the Prelude as a backup. If I have time I might attempt to change the clutch on my own, at which point I might make it my daily driver again. But for now, this will be my main vehicle.

Not actually mine, but looks the same:

Now to figure out how to get a proper stereo system in that thing. Should I move my Focal speakers and 160W x 4 amp from the Prelude into this? Hmmm.... Tough choice!
