Wisconsin is about stealing public utilities

And in Minnesota : it's illegal to carry money.
Yup our Republicans are as bat shit crazy as they are elsewhere. It was purposed that carrying money was illegal for the poor. The Republicans have backed down and changed the legislation to say that anything over $20 is illegal. Chances are fairly low this will go anywhere. The Republicans control the State Congress. However, not by significant enough numbers that they could override the Democratic Gov's veto.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker stated the public is demanding he cut government workers. An analysis from his emails via an Open Records request shows it's in favor of not cutting government workers. Oh and of course the schumck wouldn't give up his emails when requested and the news outlets had to get a court order.

Legal wrangling prevent the union busting law from going into effect for now.

Oops! the Donkeys FAIL!

The restraining order was issued against Democratic Secretary of State Doug La Follette, but laws are published by the Legislative Reference Bureau. The Legislative Reference Bureau was not included in the temporary restraining order.

Under Wisconsin law, the secretary of state isn’t who publishes statutes. His role is merely to set a date of publication, the LRB publishes laws. The date of publication is set by law, it must be published within 10 days after being signed, unless the secretary of state designates it be published sooner.

...

That's a little different from the way I understand it went down. The passed bill has to be published in the Wisconsin State Journal to go into effect. Laws can also be published by the Legislative Reference Bureau but publication there does not mean that a law is in force. This is acknowledged by the LRB and now also by the judge.

The bill is not yet law.
