President Donald John Trump

From now on, all of the President's policy initiatives will be accompanied by a uranium sale to Russia. Since that make things acceptable

Another gem from the trumpet:
In this instance Trump himself appears to be the "LEAKER".
Ironic that a man who owns as many mirrors as this self obsessed arsehole seems incapable of seeing that.

Don't be ridiculous. Presidents have always discussed issues of national concern with foreign leaders. The difference was always that the Liberal/Globalist media didn't go out of way to report it falsely.

They really got you hook line and sinker I see. Trump is president, the media is reporting him doing his job as somehow illegal or immoral. If someone can't see the obvious difference of Liberal Media handling Obama -vs- Trump, no one can get through to you I suppose.

Not sure that the president can leak as he has the discretion on all national security matters. He also didn't "leak" anything as such if he told Lavrov anything. However, if the New York Times then goes and talks about it, that would be a leak - and if any harm comes about from the leak it is much more likely to be because of the New York Times rather than Lavrov - especially if it's some vague thing about Al-Qaeda who both US and Russia are fighting against (at least, in theory the US is fighting them and maybe therein lies the problem).

It is also ironic the doubletalk going on. Obama did far far worse and the Liberal Media didn't touch it. Trump does something similar but far more benign, and you can't turn on a TV or radio without the talking head puppets talking about impeachment.

Yes, discretion.
Trump is good with discretion.

He also didn't "leak" anything as such if he told Lavrov anything.

Indeed. I was being semantically glib.

Crazy, isn't it. Stop people from getting food stamps they stop using them. Stop people from getting food, they stop eating. It's like some kind of magic. Stop providing affordable health care, people can't afford health care. This could solve everything!!!

Requiring able bodied people to work to get food stamps, they get a job.

Force people into Obamacare, not only can they not afford healthcare, they are financially ruined also! Socialism at work!

UCLA Players Arrested In China Learn Their Fate After Trump’s Visit with President Xi

More, per Reuters:

The three basketball players from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) were detained by police on Nov. 7 in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou over allegations of shoplifting. They were not on the team’s return flight to the United States on Saturday.

A senior White House official said the players had been given relatively light treatment due to Trump’s intervention.

“It’s in large part because the president brought it up,” the official told Reuters.

Just searched ESPN, no mention.

NYP: We’re still better off with Trump than Clinton

One result is that reports of his imminent demise have been near-constant ever since he came down the Trump Tower escalator in June 2015. Those predictions have been nonstop — and always wrong.

Of course, this time could be different. Or maybe the next time will. Or maybe not.

Meanwhile, his is turning out to be an enormously consequential presidency.

So much so that, despite my own frustration over his missteps, there has never been a day when I wished Hillary Clinton were president. Not one.

Indeed, as Trump’s accomplishments accumulate, the mere thought of Clinton in the White House, doubling down on Barack Obama’s failed policies, washes away any doubts that America made the right choice.

This was truly a change election — and the changes Trump is bringing are far-reaching and necessary.

This was unexpected.

Bill de Blasio: Trump Better at Articulating Progressive Economic Fairness Message Than Dems

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said in a Sunday interview on New York AM 970 radio’s “The Cats Roundtable” that President Donald Trump is beating Democrats on economic fairness.

The mayor said he plans to travel “all around” the country in support of progressive economic fairness.

“I think the message should be a progressive one, and about an economic vision for fairness,” de Blasio told show host John Catsimatidis. “I think that’s something Bernie Sanders did a great job with in 2016. And, bluntly, Trump got a lot of that message out and attracted a lot of people. That should not be a message that someone like Trump can beat Democrats on. Democrats have to have the strongest, most progressive message of economic change and fairness.”

It looks like the honeymoon with Trump is now over. When he's wrong or stupid, I will call him out. I hope this is not what to expect in the future from him.

Trump tells senators 'You're afraid of the NRA'

President Donald Trump asked Sen. Pat Toomey, a Pennsylvania Republican who's worked on a bill to strengthen background checks for gun purchases, whether he left a proposal to raise the gun purchasing age to 21 out of his measure because senators are "afraid of the NRA."

Oh dear...

I'm not a 100% fan of tariffs, but China has been outright cheating by manipulating their currency for decades.

Poll: More Than 80 Percent of Americans Support Trump’s Trade Economic Nationalism

As Trump signed into law his 25 percent tariff on imported steel and 10 percent tariff on imported aluminum to protect American workers and U.S. industries, more than 80 percent of Americans say they support the president’s trade economic nationalism.

In a Harvard-Harris poll, about 83 percent of Americans said they supported Trump’s effort to level the playing field on foreign trade to reverse the decades-long pattern of multinational free trade agreements which have wiped out broad portions of the Rust Belt and middle America.
