Socialism / Communism, historical and now

Venezuela is the most oil rich country in the world.
Yes, it is. And that's why the US wants it.
If you freeze Venezuelan currency transactions you freeze the ability of Venezuela to maintain its (foreign built) oil field equipment and infrastructure. When you crank up you oil production and manipulate oil markets down you hurt the Venezuelan ability to pay its obligations and when you also refuse to transact any obligation settlements so that Venezuela is assessed penalties etc. Yes, that hurts Venezuela's economy - as it was designed to do.

That's the deep state Trump and Clinton are part of.

I'm familiar with "nuh-uh" as substitute for argument. I also know that you have been marinading in the Venezuela narrative for years from the MSM and neo-con sources. I don't expect you to have any background outside of that and I don't think you've ever followed any links I've posted on the subject so I'm not expecting a change of mind - but I'm just going to point it out again.

The sanctions are designed to crush the economy as a prelude to regime change. That is part of the pattern of how America does these things. The majority of Venezuelans are poor, but they still support Maduro.

So your argument is all these many years of decline are due to sanctions put in place Jan 28, 2019? Amazing!

That's just the last escalation. The US has been putting sanctions on Venezuela for a while, even under Obama.

Here is a state-department list.

That's what's being said, but from what I can tell not factually accurate. The previous sanctions have been against specific individuals in the Maduro regime, not the country in general. Your most recent link supports the fact it was individuals. Feel free to quote specifics.

-Edit-
You got me defending Obama. Congrats, maybe a first.

Does your comprehension only ever stretch back to the most recent replies to your post?
It's the only way to explain such apparently wilful ignorance.

Point out an example of crippling sanctions prior to 2019.

As not likely seen on your nightly news.

Creating jobs for Canadian women?

? Admittedly, I haven't followed this a bit, and am at work and can't watch the videos right now... But prostitution isn't even illegal in Canada, is it? I'm pretty sure it's allowed in Windsor, at least. I've seen ads.
