Irony: South Park Now Banned in China After Episode Criticizing Chinese Censorship Airs

The most recent episode of South Park, “Band in China,” has been generating loads of media attention for its sharp critique of the way Hollywood tends to shape its content to avoid offending Chinese government censors in any way whatsoever.


Now, those very same government censors, in the real world, have lashed back at South Park by deleting virtually every clip, episode and online discussion of the show from Chinese streaming services, social media and even fan pages.


A cursory perusal through China’s highly regulated Internet landscape shows the show conspicuously absent everywhere it recently had a presence. A search of the Twitter-like social media service Weibo turns up not a single mention of South Park among the billions of past posts. On streaming service Youku, owned by Internet giant Alibaba, all links to clips, episodes and even full seasons of the show are now dead.

While I think the wage gap is utter nonsense, i see what Hasbro is is doing. It is commercializing and profiting on the political divide. i was interested in the Socialism Monopoly, until I found out it was a limited run and can only be got at big eBay prices.

Anyhow, many on "my side" got butthurt by this version. While I think the concept of wage gap is nonsense, I don't blame Hasbro here. There is money to be made on outrage, make it! That's Capitalism. I appreciate they don't only lean one way, which too many companies do nowadays.

What's wrong with that? Well, for one thing "Equality" is a western white supremacist ideal to oppress black bodies and brotherhood is Patriarchy.
Equity is what's wanted, where everyone has the same, regardless of colour, gender, sexual orientation, talent, effort or anything else.

FBI says fortune seized in Beverly Hills raid was criminals’ loot. Owners say: Where’s the proof?​

After the FBI seized Joseph Ruiz’s life savings during a raid on a safe deposit box business in Beverly Hills, the unemployed chef went to court to retrieve his $57,000. A judge ordered the government to tell Ruiz why it was trying to confiscate the money.

It came from drug trafficking, an FBI agent responded in court papers.

Ruiz’s income was too low for him to have that much money, and his side business selling bongs made from liquor bottles suggested he was an unlicensed pot dealer, the agent wrote. The FBI also said a dog had smelled unspecified drugs on Ruiz’s cash.

The FBI was wrong. When Ruiz produced records showing the source of his money was legitimate, the government dropped its false accusation and returned his money.

Ruiz is one of roughly 800 people whose money and valuables the FBI seized from safe deposit boxes they rented at the U.S. Private Vaults store in a strip mall on Olympic Boulevard.

Federal agents had suspected for years that criminals were stashing loot there, and they assert that’s exactly what they found. The government is trying to confiscate $86 million in cash and a stockpile of jewelry, rare coins and precious metals taken from about half of the boxes.

But six months after the raid, the FBI and U.S. attorney’s office in Los Angeles have produced no evidence of criminal wrongdoing by the vast majority of box holders whose belongings the government is trying to keep.

Gore Touts Technology Tracking ‘Identities’ of Greenhouse Gas Emitters — ‘We Can Take Action’​

Former Vice President Al Gore on Thursday sounded off on the technology created by the Climate TRACE coalition to monitor greenhouse gas emissions.

Gore, a long-time climate change activist, told MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” that the technology would be able to track the “identities” of those “responsible” for emitting greenhouse gases. He advised that the government or “civil society activists” would then be able to hold them accountable.

“We get data consistently from 300 existing satellites, more than 11,000 ground-based, air-based, sea-based sensors, multiple internet data streams and using artificial intelligence,” Gore outlined. “All that information is combined, visible light, infrared, all of the other information that is brought in, and we can now accurately determine where the greenhouse gas emissions are coming from.”
 

Armed Agents in Texas School District Arrest Concerned Parents in Their Own Homes​

The Round Rock Independent School District (RRISD) in Texas is using its own armed agents to arrest parents who speak out against the school board’s policies, according to Christopher Rufo in the City Journal.

Rufo, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, said:

The battle lines are clear: on one side, the Biden administration, public school bureaucrats, and their armed agents; on the other, parents and families who oppose school closures, mask mandates, critical race theory and corruption. Public school officials have demonstrated a willingness to use police power to silence and intimidate their opponents.

Two fathers, Jeremy Story and Dustin Clark, had spoken out against the school board’s “alleged corruption and school officials’ hostility toward parents.” In August, while “produc[ing] evidence that the board had covered up an alleged assault by the superintendent, Hafedh Azaiez, against a mistress,” Story, a minister, was cut off midsentence as Azaiez ordered armed officers to remove him from the premises, according to Chronicles Magazine.

At issue in the next meeting was the district’s mask mandate. For this, Clark, a retired Army captain, and other parents sought to speak, but instead, the school board “locked the majority of parents out of the room, preventing them from speaking.” According to Rufo, while the parents were asking the school board to open the room for public comment on a major policy item, “school board president Amy Weir directed officers to remove Clark from school property.”

“As he was dragged out by two officers, Clark shouted to the audience: ‘It’s an open meeting! Shame on you. Communist! Communist! Let the public in!'” Rufo explained.

CNN's Jake Tapper pointed out that Hollywood has been in fear of offending China in movies and that the NBA and Wall Street haven’t spoken out against China in the name of “Chinese cash.” He said those entities have blood on their hands as a result. “There is no amount of money that can buy enough soap to wash that blood off their hands.”
