You are familiar with Opeth in general? Their earliest stuff is heavy-ish with some death/growling type vocals. Most of the stuff I own is the mid era which is very melodic with a mix of clean and death vocals. For nearly the last 15 years they've completely dropped the heavy stuff and dropped all non-clean vocals. They basically became retro progressive rock, a little too soft and forced for me.

Here's one you may or may not like. It's melodic, but with with both death and clean vocals. This is the era of the band I like best.

Trying to hear the relation between these two but really I'm failing it.
