Nice Post! I assume you meant to single out Obama. But in reality we should all look at the leadership of the government. Our elected officials, since the nation began BTW, have been the Elites. We're a nation whose leadership hasn't been the 99% but the 1% comprised of rich old white men. No other category has close to a fair representation of their population.

Seriously though, watch as people actively disassociate themselves with both of these groups if the subject comes up.

5% of Americans have wealth over a million dollars. Congress critters are 50% millionaires - a 10 times over representation. Maybe the problem is that people keep voting for millionaires and wondering why people who aren't millionaires keep getting screwed.

The debt is so huge because millionaires in Congress understand that they can borrow ridiculous amounts of money then funnel it to themselves via their shares and investments and set up their post political careers with handouts from the public purse - that debt on the clock is money that has been moved from the Fed to the ruling classes and that they are going to make you pay back. The elites are never going to give you enough money to pay it back though, because that would mean slipping their chains. As soon as you are debt free then you are truly free. But you are also truly free once everyone realizes that the debt isn't theirs.

The propaganda slogan is a twist on an old fascist standby: select a minority enemy, and create an impression of opposing unanimity. Once done, the leaders of the group have the powerbase to do what they want, making it impossible for anyone in the rest of the 98% to later disavow their agenda.
