Darn Protesters

"We are the 99%."

The propaganda slogan is a twist on an old fascist standby: select a minority enemy, and create an impression of opposing unanimity. Once done, the leaders of the group have the powerbase to do what they want, making it impossible for anyone in the rest of the 98% to later disavow their agenda.

Why the Nazis are endorsing #ows protesters

Which leaders would they be then? Also godwin.

Red, if we did some digging and found that some Tea Party members were in fact child molesters, would that mean that all Tea Party members are child molesters? Why is it that because some OWS supports are communists you decide to label the entire movement as a communist plot? I'm not a communist or a nazi sympathizer by any stretch, and I support the fundamental goals of OWS. You know, you don't actually have to like your fellow shipmates to agree that the ship is sinking. I think trying to throw nasty labels around is a waste of time, let's focus on the real problems.

This was already done. There were a handful of completely unsubstantiated claims that Tea Party protestors yelled something racist and faethor thinks his neighbor is racist, therefore the entire tea party is racist. The tea party now has some structure with leaders, OWS has none.

You can't have a movement without leaders. What are they demanding? We knew what the tea party was demanding. It appears OWS is damn angry, but has no idea how to fix it nor does it want to know how to fix it. OWS is a growing movement without answers angry at "teh system" with a void in leadership. The person or group that comes along with the slickest message to people angry at "teh system" will fill this void. The obvious winner here is unions and the American Communist Party, which the American left has been courting for years as it is.

You predicted that the elites would try to neutralize the popular outrage by poisoning it with propaganda and front groups?

I think that was from me actually. What you are seeing happening in the US (is it happening in Canada?) is just the test run for next year. That is when the big media will turn against it as it grows larger and more violent. Right now they are encouraging it hoping it will effect next year's election, but they are playing with fire and it will burn them. People will see this as Obama losing control with protest going into full blown riots, and that is something that the American public will not put up with, nor will the Elites.

The real riots will happen once the US defaults on it's national debt and stops sending out Social Security, retirement, and welfare checks. That's probably 3 or so years away.

@Metalman,

Some of those photos clearly show people who fear satanism and the Illuminati - things I know many social conservatives also fear. So what's your point?

They're are willing to help out by supplying an authoritarian leader, with a few psychopathic traits, to focus their energies

fear satanism?! you mean clearly show practicing satanists

ROFL, these people are indeed useful idiots.
The "Schrodinger's set of demands" can exist only in a state of quantum superposition of multiple eigenstates, but the moment they make "official demands" the whole thing will collapse in the universe of reality.

Of course, if you love your elite masters then do not join the fight.

Did you hear about this really gee-wiz wonderful community in Guyana? I hear it is a "socialist paradise" and a "sanctuary". They have great theatre called "White Nights" and they serve a really good grape flavored Kool-Aid.
Why fight the righteous Communist movement when you could join it? Right Fluffy?

I think the fact that the movement attracts EVEN Nazis and Communists, demonstrates that is really is a 99% movement. Nazis and Communists are mortal enemies generally but if they are finding common ground that is an indication of just how bad things have gotten.

Oh you have so drunk that Kool-Aid. That is a very sad-sack analogy spread by PR companies paid millions by billionaires to keep their ass-clowns afraid of freedom. Keep licking boots and wiping bottoms in fear. They tell you the choice is them or hell, but hell is a lie - and so is the cake.

That's funny, I have not heard a single person or news outlet use that analogy. Wanna point out where you think I got it from?

The simple fact is the analogy fits. I don't know about you, but I don't want to joing any movement on blind faith, which is why I don't even go to church. OWS has no defined goals or solutions and only state "teh system is bad" and they want someone else besides themselves to fix it. There are plenty of cults that will tell you "teh system is bad, join us for a better life". Don't ask questions, just give yourself up for the greater good of the movement. OWS is a cult waiting for a leader.

Got any more facepalm pics, Robert? Oh, wait, red was right yet again...

Hahaha.... you really believe that, don't you?

Not just "right," which is enough of a stretch, but "again," into the bargain?

How quaintly pompous.

Thank you for brightening up an otherwise driech day.
