Pedophilia is a sexual orientation

Obama spells the end of the GOP says Rush . Recreation wouldn't be the worst thing. I'd like to see the GOP get back to their values from the late 40s to early 60s. Part of getting back there would be removing religious 'Moral Majority' crowd.

I am completely dedicated to the separation of church and state - which is how the Founding Fathers wanted things to be. The only way my mother can enjoy her catholicism and I can be treated like an equal citizen is if religion has no place in government

Not saying that's my thing, be the reality is that everyone one has some kind of sexual quirk, it's a given that what the majority deems is normal would be considered acceptable, even to the point where an degree of "perversion" would also be considered acceptable, cross that line too far and you are considered a sexual deviant. There are many cultures throughout the world where it is considered perfectly normal to marry a 13 year old off to a 40 year old, in the West, things are a little different. I'm not saying I think that is acceptable, I'm just saying if a society allows it, there are people who are willing to engage in it. Pedophilia is an orientation, there is no denying it, for some it may be in their genetic makeup, for others it will be a case of social conditioning, but that is as close to accepting it as I get. If you engage in a sexual act with a child, you deserve no sympathy, but let's face it, in todays society, the very mention of having such desires is sufficient enough for a good old fashioned lynching.
