American Media Won't Report One Key Detail About The French Riots: They're About 'Climate Change' Policies

Riots in France are raging into their fourth week, but American mainstream media outlets like CBS and CNN are having a tough time reporting on exactly why tens of thousands of French citizens are taking to the streets — perhaps because the protests are motivated by French President Emmanuel Macron's burdensome "anti-Climate Change" policies.

More than 400 people were arrested over the weekend — and more than 200 were injured — as French citizens, clad in the now ubiquitous yellow safety vests (which residents of France are required by law to keep in their vehicles for emergencies) marched down the Champs-Élysées, a tony shopping and restaurant district in central Paris, to protest their ever-increasing government tax burden.

To be sure, Macron's recent efforts to combat "climate change" and reduce France's dependence on "fossil fuels" by levying a new tax on gasoline and other household fuels is not the only reason the French are protesting, but fuel tax is the "straw that broke the camel's back." French citizens were already hit with a tax increase in January, and more than 60% of the cost of fuel in France comes from government fees.

But if you ask CNN or CBS, the French riots are simply shrouded in mystery.

"Rising fuel prices are largely attributed to a leap in the wholesale price of oil worldwide," CNN claimed.

They went on to blame the riots on Macron's inability to communicate his agenda effectively to the out-of-touch rubes living in France's version of "flyover country:" "But the protests have evolved into a broader demonstration against Macron, his government, and tensions between the metropolitan elite and rural poor."

French President Emmanuel Macron caved to “Yellow Vest” protesters this week; announcing a six-month suspension of his proposed fuel tax after nationwide protests turned violent amid widespread gasoline shortages.

According to Reuters, “France’s prime minister on Tuesday suspended planned increases to fuel taxes for at least six months in response to weeks of sometimes violent protests, the first major U-turn by President Emmanuel Macron’s administration after 18 months in office.”

Gore Launches 24-Hour ‘Climate Tax’ Campaign as France REVOLTS Against ‘Climate Tax’

Former Vice President and climate-change crusader Al Gore kicked off his 24-hour ‘reality’ broadcast promoting a global ‘climate tax’ this week; perfectly coinciding with the worst riots France has seen in over 50 years over Emmanuel Macron’s proposed ‘climate tax.’

“All of it is felt most keenly by the world’s most disadvantaged people,” said Gore Tuesday, “It’s up to each and everyone of us now to demand that our leaders do more.”

Paris protest: ‘People are in the red. They can’t afford to eat’

We are here to protest against the government because of the rise in taxes [in general], not just petrol taxes, which is the straw that broke the camel’s back. We’ve had enough. We have low salaries and pay too much tax and the combination is creating more and more poverty.

On the other side, there are government ministers and the president with their fabulous salaries. I’m not against the rich, I just want a fairer distribution of wealth in France. This is the first time I’ve been on a protest. I’m unemployed; it’s harder and harder to find a job and, even when you find this famous job and you think your life will improve, the salaries are so low you find you’re in the same situation as before, if not worse.

At the last election, I left the ballot paper blank. I don’t have confidence in any of the political parties and I don’t see that changing until a party emerges that is more interested in the people than in those with huge fortunes. It’s unacceptable that people do not have decent salaries, that at the end of the month, they are in the red and can’t afford to eat.

This is the goal of Global-Socialism and the scam that is Global Warming. A tiny elite class who owns everything and controls everything, and the rest of us in perpetual poverty with no say in governance.

Hopefully the French people are starting to look in the mirror, and not just rioting.

Nasa says it has detected the first signs of significant melting in a swathe of glaciers in East Antarctica.
The region has long been considered stable and unaffected by some of the more dramatic changes occurring elsewhere on the continent.
But satellites have now shown that ice streams running into the ocean along one-eighth of the eastern coastline have thinned and sped up.

It's not the world that's going to end - but we do face the possibility of human extinction by the middle of the century. It doesn't take many crop failures to cause mass starvation on the planet as it currently is and if we lose significant population we cannot keep the machinery running that we depend on to grow our crops - and most people don't have access to seed or knowledge of how to grow and if climate change moves the crop region sufficiently north then the growing season will be decreased because of less daylight hours and we won't be able to move production north at any rate that will make much of a difference. Combine that with the collapse of the ecosystem - large edible fauna especially - because other systems won't be able to keep up with the rate of change then there aren't likely to be too many living humans in that kind of realm. It's actually a real possibility that deserves some attention.
