not even slightly shocking

big deal

For a porn it's noting shocking, for a mainstream rock video it's another matter altogether.

I know how you guys feel about change, and I don't want to get you upset or hooked on this idea, but I've been thinking / looking lately at moving Whyzzat.com to more of a Wordpress CMS thing (not so much on the blogging).

See http://www.whyzzat.com/wordpress to see a COMPLETELY STOCK, UNIMPRESSIVE idea of the "magazine" layout that I've been ticking around with. They also have a way to import news items from RSS/XML feeds like the BBC and CNN, so the site would be a lot more function and a little less stagnant forum wannabe. After all, I'm sure the 3 people who read things here are sick of having to hunt them down and post them as well.

If I went that direction (and I do welcome your input), I'd be writing a completely unique theme/layout from scratch, but the idea is really to develop a news / magazine / whatever site to improve the interaction around here.

In truth, I don't know what I'm doing, I'm completely bored shitless, and I'm looking for a "reason to live".

I even spent my lonely Halloween night in Barnes and Noble considering spending $35.00 on an iPhone Application programming guide, until I realized that I don't have any ideas to write for. What I really need is something to strive for like another Amiga.org -- but focusing on something I care about. The problem is, I'm finding it very difficult these days to care about anything at all. Especially computer-related things.

Then follow some art lessons. Say yes to that what shimmers in the corner of your perception.

first, don't get depressed, Wayne. that's not a good road to travel on.

think on this like a new adventure. I know it's easy for me because I've spent my entire adult life with this 'employed not employed' thing and frankly I'm beyond worrying about it all.

Take all the time you need to acclimate. Your most valuable assets are what is between your ears. Don't underestimate your talents.

as to the wordpress idea, gadgetnutz moved to that recently and it does have it's advantages. I'm still getting used to uploading images and such, but it's an improvement over the previous site. going in that direction may add fun to this whole process.

and that is always a good thing!

What? Instead of scaring the cr@p out of kid-lings and egging houses? Cheez Whizz Wayne.

Are you getting enough human contact?

Well... No actually, but Halloween used to be my favorite holiday of the year. Considering everything else that's going on, I -- simply stated -- didn't feel like sitting at home alone on Halloween, staring at the TV with a beer in my hand, lights off, trying to avoid trouble.

I'd say more, but if you didn't understand the context, my feelings could be taken in an entirely bad light. Suffice to say that the average kid in my neighborhood (or at least that gets bussed into my neighborhood) doesn't know what Halloween is, save for a night to walk around (sans costume) -- even at age 19 -- and bang on the door *demanding* free candy in exchange for not destroying your property.

"Chavs" I think you'd call them. Wankers, smegheads, thugs, hoodlums, roaming gang members, etc is how I'd think of them.

Last year, there were all of 15 "trick or treaters", I estimate that only 4 of which were under the age of 16, only two of those 4 even bothered with a costume (One I could forgive, being an infant carried by mom).

Being by myself aside, that just isn't the fun that I believe Halloween should be. Instead, I found wings, beer, and books, which turned out just fine. I'd have done a movie, but 1) alone is no fun and 2) there really isn't anything I wanted to see as of last week. If only you guys lived closer, we could have done beers.
