Whyzzat can use some juice

I just wish I could see any of it at work... :(

Oh well, when the iPad 3G gets here...

I hate to say it, Wayne, but I don't think it'll help. Apple said you don't need Flash messing up your browsing experience, so they keep blocking Adobe from releasing it for iPhone OS.

wow, that's cool

some of that stuff looks like he was inspired by images generated with image processors. or i could just be deluded :)

I've been thinking about getting a tablet to use on my windows 7 laptop. i've been looking at "Bamboo Fun" by wacom

it's been years since I painted using oils...I would love to try my hand at some really artistic stuff on a computer

I'm not sure whether it's inspired by those image processors, but many of them have a 'life going by' feeling over it. You know, when there's a boring rainy day and you actually enjoy it because it gives you time to watch and feel and don't have to do anything, so you can have another state of mind, you get an overview of the small steps of life.

Ah well, there's me rambling. It's hot outside and there's noise of the football championship. And i'm very busy at work.

At work I make programs with a web user interface. That interface needs to be designed simple but modern. I,have to use my left (or was it my right?) brain part for it. I have to say it has become veeery dusty there. I, ehm, ehm, liked using it

I know what you mean.

I get really annoyed when people interrupt me when I am creating

it's the most fun anyone can have

When I was a little kid I sang a lot, songs I made up myself. My mum noticed it and said I sang beautifully. After that I never sang like that again. I guess I felt being watched.

Yes I know, I know, and I try, but the way back is a bit difficult.
it's all about getting into the habit. make some time - even just a little - and start.

once you start the habit it will be easy.

hey, i just found something interesting

http://www.openstreetmap.org/

OpenStreetMap is a free editable map of the whole world. It is made by people like you.

OpenStreetMap allows you to view, edit and use geographical data in a collaborative way from anywhere on Earth.
I love stuff like this!!

I used to be very interested in Music, I couldn't play really but I did play around with synths a lot. I eventually got into software audio and I wrote some audio apps for the Amiga. Unfortunately I had a habit of picking the wrong platform (I went to BeOS next...) and it never went anywhere, I ended up just getting a job doing normal software.

Recently I've got interested in music again and I'm planning to write an audio app for the iPad - but this time I'm not just diving in I'm taking my time working out what to do and how to do it. This has involved buying big DSP books and thinking about GUI design a lot.

As part of this I've bought a couple of synths and I've also stared learning guitar again as well - I never got anywhere with it before but I've discovered some good resources this time and I've still practicing a couple of months later.

One of the synths is a monster Kurzweil I bought off eBay, I've set it up and I was having a wonderful time making music (of sorts) on it today :-)

My creative juices are flowing again...

HAZZAH!

and the work you did on the Amiga and BeOS is not wasted. You learned something doing that. It changes your neurones!

keep up posted on your progress
