Obama will unilaterally attack Syria Thursday

(Some of these links contain videos that weren't suitable for directly embedding - you have been warned)
The rebels are leaking. People who were with them are disgusted with things like prisoner executions and organ eating, and kid killing. The Pope recognizes the dangers posed to Christians by the "rebels" and the moral vacuity of Americas military justifications. The Americans don't even have God on their side any more.

Kerry on Syrian rebels’ brutality: It’ll get worse if we don’t intervene

With regards to Syria, if Obama was actually concerned with the laws of the world rather than distracting Americans from the issues that actually affect them (Obamacare, IRS / NSA Scandals, etc), shouldn't he be more concerned with bringing the Syrian President to charges before the United Nations rather than invading another SOVEREIGN country?

Yup! That's our MSNBC! If the liberal media in general start repeating this enough, many of the sheep will start coming around to support the war.

Ed Schultz highlights why a growing number of far-right Republicans are now coming out and opposing a strike on Syria. Schultz contends hatred for the first black president is a factor in the Republicans' decision-making process.

The Reuters poll said only 9% supported this war. According to MSNBC that means 91% are far-right racist republicans. Code Pink are now far-right racists.

It will be interesting to see where the liberal media in general goes with this.

yay!! our military is now the enforcement arm of the house of saud!! wooo hooo!!

Kerry Tells Congress That Oil Sheiks Will Pay US for War to Unseat Assad

In a rare moment of diplomatic candor, US Secretary of State John Kerry told a congressional hearing Wednesday that oil sheiks have offered to pay the United States to unseat Bashar al-Assad as Syrian strong man. The surprising admission came in response to congressional pressure on the administration to explain how yet another military operation would be paid for during a period of prolonged budgetary sequestration.
Apparently trying to assuage concerns about billions and billions of taxpayer dollars financing a "punishment strike" that most legislators know in their guts is the opening salvo in another Libyan style war of degrading the Syrian military (while untold numbers of civilians are also killed in the process), Kerry, according to The Washington Post, revealed more than he probably meant to:
Secretary of State John Kerry said at Wednesday’s hearing that Arab counties have offered to pay for the entirety of unseating President Bashar al-Assad if the United States took the lead militarily.
“With respect to Arab countries offering to bear costs and to assess, the answer is profoundly yes,” Kerry said. “They have. That offer is on the table.”
Asked by Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.) about how much those countries would contribute, Kerry said they have offered to pay for all of a full invasion.
“In fact, some of them have said that if the United States is prepared to go do the whole thing the way we’ve done it previously in other places, they’ll carry that cost,” Kerry said. “That’s how dedicated they are at this. That’s not in the cards, and nobody’s talking about it, but they’re talking in serious ways about getting this done."
The conundrum for Kerry is that you can't say "nobody's talking about it" when you've just said that an offer is on the table in case the Syrian conflict becomes a full-fledged Libyan style regime replacement operation.
Scared by the Arab Spring and the Arab Street, the Saudis, the Gulf States, and the other remaining dicator oil barons now are even reportedly willing to work with Israel to remove the threat of activism percolating over into their countries. Since Syria, given its increasing isolation, has become more dependent upon Iran, the conservative Arab states want to prevent a Persian fundamentalist state from extending its influence over the region.

Yup! That's our MSNBC! If the liberal media in general start repeating this enough, many of the sheep will start coming around to support the war.

MSNBC has become the "The Bomb Syria Now, because Obama wants to" Network.

Now I want you to remember that no bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country.
Men, all this stuff you’ve heard about America not wanting to fight — wanting to stay out of the war, is a lot of horse dung. Americans traditionally love to fight. All real Americans love the sting of battle --
Rachel Maddow doing a Gunnery Sergeant Hartman imitation:

There is absolutely nothing for the US to gain by bombing and invading Syria.

There is absolutely nothing for Syria to gain by bombing and invading Syria.

There is not even the pretense of a threat to the US.

There isn't even a real pretense of humanitarian reasons to attack Syria. Since when has bombing people been therapeutic?

But the race card has been pulled. We'll start seeing Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson making appearances blasting racists for not supporting Obama. Every TV in the country will start telling people what to think and to support this war. We'll soon start to see the real sheep among us.

There is absolutely nothing for the US to gain by bombing and invading Syria.

Unfortunately that is not true.

There is absolutely nothing for Syria to gain by bombing and invading Syria.

There is not even the pretense of a threat to the US.

There isn't even a real pretense of humanitarian reasons to attack Syria.

All true.

Since when has bombing people been therapeutic?

For some it always has been and probably always will be.

Every TV in the country will start telling people what to think and to support this war.

Same shit, different president / war / mass murder.

Yup! That's our MSNBC! If the liberal media in general start repeating this enough, many of the sheep will start coming around to support the war.

I tried to watch that but ... right from the crappy montage the smell was making me nauseous, but the dung pile really got humming when Ed started to let loose. I have no idea what he's trying to do here - I presume this got vetted by someone so it must fit the agenda but ... it sounds like he's taking a slap at Republicans and smacking Obama with the backhand. Only thing he really seems to be for is bombing Syrians. What a weird and nasty bit of TV.

Near the end Ban-ki Moon says at the end of this that the mandate for the inspectors is to determine whether chemical weapons were used, not who used them against who!!

So does that mean that if Assad used chemical weapons then the US bombs Syria, but if Al-Qaeda used chemical weapons then the US bombs Syria? Does this indicate on the part of whoever set the mandate a low confidence that the evidence will point in the desired direction?

So does that mean that if Assad used chemical weapons then the US bombs Syria, only if they use the stuff the brits sold them 10 months after the civil war had been raging....:wrong: but if Al-Qaeda used chemical weapons then the US bombs Syria? (only if they use the stuff the CIA sold them a few months ago) :wrong: Does this indicate on the part of whoever set the mandate a low confidence that the evidence will point in the desired direction? all fake anyway

Sarin sarin everywhere. Even though terrorists groups like Aum Shinrikyo demonstrated years ago that making the stuff wasn't all that hard, it's also readily available by stealing it or buying it. Late last year American officials were concerned because rebels had captured facilities where chemical agents had been manufactured. Also, Libya suffered from a fair bit of weapons looting by Al-Qaeda types after the US beat the Libyan army for them.

*ding* Bring out your Hitler! ... *ding* Bring out your Hitler!

Kerry: Here's one.

TheNews: That'll be ninepence.

Assad: I'm not Hitler.

Kerry: Yes you are.

Assad: I'm getting better!

Kerry: You'll be all Hitler in a minute. Get on the cart.

Yup... Kerry has reanimated the Adolph Hitler Zombie for yet another PR campaign.
