Methane does absorb at around 3000 nm where the W/Mm^2 is ??

So Mt Pinatubo produced a pulse equal to about a sixth of the methane produced by livestock. (120e12 g vs 26e12 g)

The greenhouse effect is not about how much incoming IR is absorbed, so much as it is about the fact that IR and visible light falls on non reflective surfaces on the earth and warms them up - and they re-radiate that heat at longer (IR) wavelengths - so heat is the product of all the wavelengths that some though the atmosphere - it is created by the ground when the light hits it, but the heat can't get out as easily because it is absorbed (and re-radiated) by certain gases in the atmosphere.

now calculate the methane produced by wild ruminate herds in the 1800's
on the great plains of North America there were an estimated 60m bison

What is the estimate for methane produced by plant decomposition by anaerobic digestion? eg swamps and wetlands
If ruminates don't eat the grass, what happens to the carbon stored in the grass? decomposition by fire?

All carbon above ground will continue to cycle until it is no longer above ground. That is why planting trees just shifts the problem out a bit till the trees start dying. The only way to prevent rising atmospheric carbon is by keeping what's underground where it is.

For the purposes of the Web map, they pick the closest possible match, even if it fails to meet their statistical threshold for good analogs. And almost no adults alive today will be around to see if this is true or not, how convenient. I guess the proclamations made in the 90s and 00s about where the world would be in the 2010s gave just too much egg on their face. Have to push it so far out no one will be left to remember what the hoaxers were saying. As long as their new world order is in place, no one can challenge them anyhow.

Pretend the person did not say XYZ, claim they said ABC.

I - watched - it.

Unlike some people I try to first check out what I am commenting on (and if I have not yet I try to say so).
Nowhere in that clip does the guy say that global warming will cause rape epidemics. He actually does not say that. Now perhaps you will say that he "as much" says that, or "he doesn't say it in those words but that's what he means" but neither of those are honest positions. Why don't you watch it - and then type what he says. I know you have trouble with this because you seemed to have trouble with it over the "post-birth abortion" stuff that was never said - once something has been framed for you, you don't seem to be able to use your ears to hear what is actually said. Maybe if you write it out it will help to see past the conditioning.

BTW - I watched the whole thing from start to end. It's only a minute long.

UK basks in warmest February day on record
The UK is experiencing its warmest February day on record, the Met Office reports.
A temperature of 20.3C (68.54F) has been recorded at Trawsgoed, Ceredigion.
It is the first time a temperature of over 20C has been recorded in winter.

I specifically called it a regional weather report.
It doesn't equal climate.

However, your hero thinks cold, regional weather in winter proves "Global Waming" is a hoax so this warm, regional weather in winter is merely a counterpoint to the utter horsefeathers that he peddles and you so eagerly lap up.

You're right about one thing though; it is funny and I'm becoming increasingly nihilistic in my outlook. :cool:
