Ready for the next Ice Age? Winter is coming.

You just can't make this shit up. What a scam.

Emma Thompson Flies 5,400 Miles to Protest Climate Change

A flight from Los Angeles International Airport to London Heathrow generates at least 1.67 tonnes of CO2, according to MailOnline.

Dame Emma clearly didn’t see any hypocrisy in her actions as she took to the streets for the second time today, addressing protesters from a large pink boat and reading a poem called ‘Mother Earth Is Not Your Slut’.

“We have seriously failed them (the younger generation) and our planet is in serious trouble, we have much, much less time than we thought,” Dame Emma said.

“I have seen the evidence for myself and I really care about my children and grandchildren enough to want to be here today to stand with the next generation.”

Dame Emma is not the only person involved in the protests who been criticised. The organiser, privately-educated Robin Boardman-Pattison, who has called for only allowing air travel “in an emergency”, has allegedly travelled widely himself.

I mostly agree with this article. Too much to cut-n-paste, so read it if you wish. Here's the best snippet.

Happy Earth Day, 2019

Finally, it cannot be overlooked that today’s environmentalist has more in common with Che Gueverra and Karl Marx than they do with any environmentalist of the past. Part of this is sadly attributable to the Leftward bent of higher education and some attributable to the gullibility of today’s youth.

When you are sucking on the straw of your McDonalds drink, or any other mostly opaque container, it pulls the pretty much the same for the whole time you are drinking it - except at the end. There's coke, then coke, then coke, then coke - then suddenly a gurgle and it's all over with almost no warning.
Or Jenga, and the game goes on and the tower builds higher and sometimes it wobbles and then settles down - until it doesn't - then in a second it is all over.
Or with exponential growth - with bacteria that double in population every five minutes and they've been growing in their container of soup for almost a whole day but now, at five minutes to midnight, with the container only half full, how much longer do they have until the end of their world.
These are non-linear systems - like climates and house fires.
Even if the changes are natural, they are still deadly in the end and we need to deal with problems when they are small, not when they are at the moment of failure - but if we listen all the time to people who say everything is fine - then we don't have any time by the time we notice it isn't. The world has been running on pretty tight food margins in the last little while, but you are getting your food from the end of a very complicated straw and the cup is opaque. Last year was hurt by a very hot summer that impacted a number of wheat growing regions.
In the US, tariff disputes with China lead to a drop in exports and an increase in local supply and storage (and a decrease in price) but a lot of that stored grain was ruined by flooding and we will have to see what the impacts to production are in the areas inundated.,
It is getting harder to manage the food supply system as weather becomes less predictable and more severe. Because we are being told to ignore global warming, not only are we failing to address the underlying cause, but we are also failing to address how we are going to adapt our systems to keep providing life support for the humans on the planet.

A person who lives to be 80 will live for 29,200 days and if you skip eating for one day every couple of years it would be no problem - but that's a total of 40 days - and if you skipped those days all in a row you could be in serious trouble. Systems will start to fail in the enforceable future - but if we let them fail too far we will not have the resources to cope with those failures and it will go downhill rapidly. I do not understand why intelligent beings would happily deny future risks out of passive resistant spite, just so they don't have to get off their butts and pitch in on account of hating the people they'd have to work with.

Climate change expert sentenced to 32 months for fraud, says lying was a 'rush'

Prosecutor Jim Smith said Beale's crimes made him a "poster child for what is wrong with government."

The sentence drew swift reaction from Capitol Hill, including demands from a top Republican for further investigation into the EPA to determine how Beale got away with his fraud for so long.

"The case this morning highlights a massive problem with the EPA," said Sen. David Vitter of Louisiana, ranking Republican on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.

Only the tip of the iceberg. Biggest scam in human history.

WATCH: Fake Reporter John Oliver And Fake Scientist Bill Nye Try To Sell You A Fake Crisis

At this point, Nye is more well known for his climate alarmism than being the “science guy” he used to be. A perfect example is a fact that, as NASA itself pointed out, carbon is not reaching critical levels. In fact, it’s only making the Earth greener. This is called “global greening,” and it happens as a result of carbon dioxide being more available for plants to consume.

But according to Nye, who dropped a lot of super cool and trendy F-bombs in his segment, the planet is on “f***ing fire.”

You won’t hear this talked about a lot from Nye, Oliver, or any other member of the church of climate change.

We tend to hear all the time that our carbon emissions are going to cause the world to plunge into some sort of climate chaos, and it’s always just around the corner. We’re treated to tons of graphs that show just how horrible things are going to overcome.

However, honest climate scientists continuously debunk these models. In fact, actual scientist William Happer has made it clear that climate models are typically wrong because predicting the climate beyond a few days becomes absolutely impossible.

So not only is Nye attempting to cause panic over something that’s actually growing more trees, he’s relying on data that is about as fantastical as a fairy tale.

I know some of you have defended the Green New Deal on the basis that it was never intended to be serious. How can you keep claiming this when the AoC buffoon and her NPC minions keep marching forward as serious policy?

Either you state you agree with this lunacy, or you don't.

Is that the clip you intended to post? Which bits of it do you disagree with?

I'm not going to transcribe and do bullet points on each point. Just start with her opening statement about carbon levels "in recorded human history". That would be what? 100 years? Great sample size!

Besides, when pushed the majority of Dem lawmakers and forum greenies claim it is not really serious legislation, just for the feels or something. They all got mad when it was brought to the floor for a vote. But here we see AoC continue to push it as serious legislation. I tend to take people at their word, and that word would completely destroy the US.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's Green New Deal Could Cost $93 Trillion, Group Says

That's likely a conservative number too.

Records of CO2 taken at the time, maybe about 100 years. Recorded human history is about 8000-10000 years. But she said "human history" and that is about 200,000 to 300,000 years. She said the last time CO2 levels were this high was in the Pliocene - and that is over 2.5 million years ago (and we have pretty good evidence to show that is true).
So far, she is 100% correct and you couldn't even quote the clip correctly. Am I surprised that you don't want to address all the bullet points?

no. Not a bit.

As in "a number dreamed up by conservatives". The cost COULD be more than that, but it COULD also be less than that, and the cost of doing nothing COULD be far more.

AOC ON DC THUNDERSTORM: ‘This is Crazy… The Climate Crisis is Real Y’All’

“The climate crisis is real y’all … guess we’re at casual tornadoes in growing regions of the country,” she later wrote on Instagram.

Meteorologist Ryan Maue was quick to point out the legislator’s error.

-

“I thought this was fake but it’s from @AOC Instagram story. No idea what she means with ‘casual tornadoes’ and how this line of severe thunderstorms is proof of any ‘climate crisis’. It’s just the weather in D.C,” he added.

Climate change expert sentenced to 32 months for fraud, says lying was a 'rush'

Beale pled guilty in September to bilking the government out of nearly $1 million in salary and other benefits over a decade. He perpetrated his fraud largely by failing to show up at the EPA for months at a time, including one 18-month stretch starting in June 2011 when he did “absolutely no work,” as his lawyer acknowledged in a sentencing memo filed last week.

When Huvelle asked Beale what he was doing when he claimed he was working for the CIA, he said, "I spent time exercising. I spent a lot of time working on my house."

He also said he used the time "trying to find ways to fine tune the capitalist system" to discourage companies from damaging the environment. "I spent a lot of time reading on that," said Beale.

Prosecutor Jim Smith said Beale's crimes made him a "poster child for what is wrong with government."

The sentence drew swift reaction from Capitol Hill, including demands from a top Republican for further investigation into the EPA to determine how Beale got away with his fraud for so long.
