Mexico hail: Ice 1.5m thick carpets Guadalajara

Six suburbs in the Mexican city of Guadalajara have been left carpeted in a thick layer of ice after a heavy hailstorm.
The ice was up to 1.5m (5ft) thick in places, half-burying vehicles.
Civil protection machinery was deployed to clear streets in the city of five million located north of the capital, Mexico City.
Local officials also reported flooding and fallen trees, but no-one is thought to have been hurt. The storm hit very quickly, between about 01:50 (06:50 GMT) and 02:10 local time, when the air temperature dropped suddenly from 22C to 14C.
The city had been basking in temperatures of more than 30C. It has been hit by hail storms before, but seldom this heavy.
 
Hail is something farmers in Alberta have to deal with. It may be getting worse and there's not much you can do about it when it happens.

The latitude of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico is 20.659698, and the longitude is -103.349609, elevation is 1557 meters height, ( 5,108 feet )

Indeed, that's quite a height and goes part of the way towards explaining the weather. (It's considerably higher than anywhere in the UK.)
Still, a pretty freaky dump of ice at that latitude and time of year.

Some feedback (pending peer review) on the French heatwave is in already:
data shows a very large increase in heat waves since the start of the 20th century. Based on the most recent data, this heat wave looks like it is approximately a 30-year event (meaning it has a probability of about 1 in 30 of occurring in a given year).

Around 1900, however, this would have been a much rarer event. The difference means it's now roughly 100 times more likely to happen in our current, warmer climate. Put another way, the current 30-year heat wave event is a whopping 4°C or so hotter than what would have been a 30-year heat wave at the start of last century. These numbers came out pretty much the same for Toulouse and for France as a whole.

Yes, it's not that the temps were hot for the locations, but that they were out of season. The tides in spring leave the beds exposed longer than the summer tides do so the mussels spend more time in the air. It's just one more of a slew of instances in which it's not the degree or so per se, but an interaction of things. As conditions worsen, unfortunate coincidences get more likely.

They've had actual scientists write articles before. Actual scientists not on the government tit.

While 51% believe there may be warming, only 33% of Americans believe in Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW - man caused the warming). Despite the beliefs of 2/3rd of the country, those 2/3rds are seeing their children indoctrinated into the cult against their will by people with no science behind them.

Not new either. When my kids were in high school, they were forced to watch An Inconvenient Truth. It was presented as a 100% true documentary. It was the gold standard for the cult of AGW at the time. Now that every single point has been proven wrong, cult members avoid talking about it at any cost. Facts and history don't matter to cults, just that each new generation gets indoctrinated. History repeats itself.

Usually when people talk about failed predictions of climate science they are actually talking about bodged misunderstandings of science (like when flat earthers say that if the earth was really round then the seas would fall off).

Steps in the Scientific Process

  • Step 2: Do background research. ...
  • Step 3: Construct a hypothesis. ...
  • Step 4: Test your hypothesis by doing an experiment. ...
  • Step 5: Analyze the data and draw a conclusion. ...
  • Step 6: Share your results.
Over and over and over Step 5 has been complete rebuke of the hypothesis. They have been proven completely wrong over and over. They the skip step 6, and quietly move on to step 3 again, ignoring step 2.

Major corporate investment vehicles like REITs with 30-40 year+ prospectuses don't even mention Global Warming or sea rise. You have been duped by a hoax.

I have watched this multiple times now. What do you think it proves? he says the earth has been around for 13 billion years. 50,000 years ago he says it was 2 degree warmer than now - it was about 6C colder. He says no prospectus asking you to invest in beachfront property tells you your investment will be worthless in a few decades. no shit. Why would it. when did you start thinking that people that want your money are going to be telling you the truth? The guy has lots of money but very little clue. This video is not only not relevant to the other videos you posted on that page, it's not even relevant to itself because the guy doesn't know anything, but because he's made money he thinks it means he's smart. He just talks loud and that's about all he's got.
The video I posted is quite relevant, thank you. It simply reiterates that you post a load of crap a lot of the time claiming it is failed climate predictions from science, but they are not - they are fake predictions from PR think tanks. When you pull out the "Oh yeah, well scientists said..." card and it's not actually something scientists said, it doesn't make a convincing argument. It makes you sound like a doofus who listens to doofuses who listen to liars that lie.
