Nuts. I guess I can't add options now that it's got votes in it. That's a shame 'cos I liked your second suggestion.
Ok, but what is the actual story for those of us who intentionally don't watch the news? There's only like 8 of us who use this site, so I figure we've got enough votes.. :)

In the aftermath of Sept 11, she was hired (on Sept 20) to work for the FBI translator group, translating Turkish and Persian, on March 22, 2002 she was terminated from her job for being disruptive, doing poor work and breaching security measures. Since she left her lawsuits about her firing would suggest that at least two of the three causes above are correct. She claims that much of her issues with the FBI were because of her whistleblowing on the incompetance of others, and on some of those points she may well be correct, the senate investigation believed there was enough info that an investigation probably should go forward. The issue is that she is her own worst enemy, constantly arguing whether documents should have been classified, asking whether classified documents should be unclassified for her case, and not understanding that her job was as to translate what was said not decide what that means in the scope of things which is why she was poor at her job. If she were to translate the conversation about Lee's underwater missile silo and then wanted her boss to immediatly act on it (which is fairly close to one of her actions), all of us who understand Dave, Lee and I were joking about the missile in the quarry out in Madison would realize she had nothing to worry about.
